Us vs. them attitude needs to go.

Halo 4 is the first online game that I’ve played, prior to that I mainly played halo reach on firefight etc. There are a few features of firefight that I really liked…
(1) The covenant didn’t spend the entire game hiding behind camo with overpowered sniper rifles.
(2) The covies weren’t so obsessed with winning that some of them would resort to forms of cheating to obtain that goal.
(3) I had my choice of skill levels, easy, legendary etc.

(4) The covies didn’t act like I was a lower form of life if my stats didn’t come up to their high expectations.
Peple need to bear in mind that for any game to survive, there needs to be a continual influx of new players, the 12 yo newbie of today is the pro of the future.
The whole match making system needs to be upgraded, and players matched up better based on experience, stats, kd etc.
divide it into grades, amateur, normal, pro. And yes, I realise the population at the moment makes that difficult, but once that is done the population might just improve.
I am strictly a casual player, as my stats suggest. But I make a point of wearing my …I don’t give a rats -Yoink- badge every time I play. And when I get my butt kicked, which is most of the time, I don’t run outside and kick my dog etc. For Halo to continue it has to cater for all levels of players.

I am neutral when it comes to a labeling definer. Sometimes I shout at the tv when I want to win, other timesI could care less. I think these forums have made me more competitive, in trying to understand the plight of the competitive player, they rubbed off on me a little. Yes, I have been saying it since launch. We as a community need to stand by our brothers shoulder to shoulder and make Halo a great experience for everyone, for we ALL are halo players and none of us as a community should be left out.

So more of a ranked playlist and social playlist that way people can be really competitive or just relax and goof off right.

Well 343 is going to bring a competitive playlist sometime soon. So maybe it will get better. I like many other liked the ranks in Halo 2/3 because the game would try to match you with people in your rank/skill level. Then if it couldn’t find them would expand till it had a match. Unfortunately in Reach/4 they went with an invisible true skill that dosent quite work as well. But it is what it is hopefully they will try and make it match better.

I had a great conversation today in which both parties expressed their opinions and view points on an issue. He ended up sending me a friend request on Xbox live, which I will check when I get home.

People think because you’re for one thing and they’re for another means you have to be mortal enemies, when really you just need to compromise and have empathy.

I agree.

I keep hearing people say they’re having ranked and social playlists. Lolwut Plz be tru.

Not ranked/social. They are making a more competitive play list sorry to burst your bubble and sorry if I confused you more

Yeah, too bad we had that in H3 with Ranked and Social sections of Matchmaking. Then people complained about their ranks not going up.

Im afraid that this you vs me community has come about mainly because of the people that love Halo 4.

Think about if you love halo 4 then getting things that you don’t care about fixed wouldn’t impact you in anyway so why don’t they support the people that don’t love halo 4, I mean what is so terrible about wanting better customs, forge, fileshare, competitve playlists.
How is adding to the game bad in anyway, if people that say they love Halo 4 truly love halo 4 they would get behind the other communities and support them instead of sayin things like, “go play Halo 3”, " leave no one is telling you to stay".

Don’t get me wrong the people that dislike Halo 4 are not blameless, they believe everyone that don’t share their views are noobs or have never played a Halo in thier life.

For us to truly come together we have to get rid of these stigmas and come together, if we all came together 343 or microsoft would have no option but to listen cozinstead of these fragmented communities they would have to listen to the majority, instead all 343i are doing is dragging thier feet because they are considering how much people even care about certain aspects.

The point is I think the majority of people come to this forum because they want halo 4 to be a sucess. Regardless of wether your a newbie or a long term pro, your opinion is valid. Even if your a casual, such as myself, you want to see the game improve. I don’t take online game playing seriously, for a start I have too many commitments in the real World. However the only online game I will play will be halo, that’s my only reason for buying an xbox. And yes, people need to work together to make 343 understand what we expect from Halo. Threatening to leave and go play c.o.d etc is not going to accomplish much.
