There’s a potentially false rumor going around that 343 Industries is looking to cancel the Xbox One release of Halo Infinite and pushing the release date to 2022, an idea that 343 “has been busy with” recently according to the original poster. It has already been posted onto twitter and the halo subreddit and is gaining traction as we speak.
I am requesting an immediate response from a verified 343 Industries employee so this rumor can be halted before it spreads further and causes panic.

If they have ongoing support for H5 including HCS and bring it to PC as well I can deal with this decision if it’s true. For Infinite it won’t be bad. In 2022 there will be a new smartphone with more power than the XOne.
343i won’t respond to rumors, but that doesn’t sound likely. The game was developed for five years with the Xbox One in mind, unless they’re doing a complete overhaul (yikes) it’s really unlikely they’re doing this

It would be best for the franchise if they did this. But I dont think they have to delay again to do that.

Without a major delay, they can’t overhaul the game. Without a significant overhaul, why would they cancel the Xbone version? All that means is less game sales. If they really plan to cancel the current gen version, they better have enough added development time to make the cancellation worth while
