My upstream bandwith is at the “warning” level, and it’s never been like that prior to today. I know that 343 just changed over servers, but I have been playing all day and the upstream bandwith level is still at warning. Some of my games would cut me out or would say “starting game” and I would be dead when the game returned! HELP!!! I have been playing Halo Reach forever and never had this issue before!??
Nothing has changed server wise, the game should still be playing as good as gold.
The Upstream Bandwidth warning is harmless, mine has been Warning since release, which I expected, my internet sucked and I rarely get lag and when I do, it’s me downloading something wirelessly.
If you are not already, try using an Ethernet Cable to connect to Xbox LIVE if you are Wireless at the moment, wireless interferance(sp?) is a big cause for lag on Multiplayer.
If that still hasn’t fixed the problem, Open your NAT on Xbox LIVE.
Once again, if it is or nothing has changed, contact your ISP, explain the situation, if they offer no help, ask to upgrade packages as it sounds like you are just on a bad internet package, 10 Mbps D/L and 2 Mbps Upload is a decent one, try to go into that range.
Thank you for your response. I have been playing Reach on the same ISP since the game came out. I have never had this issue before. I reset my router and modem, no real change. I gave my ISP a call and they reset everything and I still had the issue. I don’t understand why it would just start having problems all of the sudden. Hopefully it changes!

Have you bought anything new recently and placed it in your home?
Some items like Microwave Ovens can interfere with the Wireless Signal, sorry if you are actually using Ethernet, you never stated.
I am using an ethernet connection. Never had wireless on my xbox. I really haven’t changed or added anything in my apartment…placement of objects, new equipment, furniture…etc.

Sounds like it’s your ISP then, I highly advise you ask for an upgrade, if that still doesn’t help, switch ISP’s.
