Three questions all similar
If you upgrade air does it add the bouns to sentinel?
If you upgrade vehicle does it do the scarab?
If you upgrade infantry does it do Spartans and banished leaders?

Only the sentinel bit is true, actually.

I thought the hero’s were a definite one, the only one I’m unsure about is scarab but that’s bugged as air works for condor

I also remember air not working for condor confirmed. That would be OP AF.
People posted every combination or yes/no yet?
The Prima Official Guide specifically says that the Spartan heroes DO receive infantry upgrades, the Super Units (Condor/Scarab) do not, and the Ultimate Units (Retriever Sentinel/Decimus) do not.
It doesn’t say on the other heroes, but I assume they would match the Spartans and do.
