When you get sniped at the body you lose all your shields and about 25% of your health from Sniple Rifle and Beam Rifle. However the Beam Rifle Alpha has extra damage, that it knocks out half your hp on top of your shields, and this damage is enough to one shot kill you to the head even if you have upgraded shields.
This weapon already has 20 shots since it discharges 5% per shot and does not need that extra damage.
Well one would naturally assume the highest costing weapon would do the most damage.
I don’t really think it’s that overpowered compared to the aim required for it sometimes.

Its req 6, and headshots will kill players even with upgraded shields. I’m not talking about the Halo 2 beam rifle Delta which is req 7.
Compared to the other beam and sniper rifles of req level 6 this one shots always, while others are blocked by upgraded shields.
Its a beam rifle thats supposed to be special but as far as i can tell its just go a nice paint job and fires a little faster. Upgraded shields added to this gun would make it a true req weapon to be revered in Warzone.

Seriously I am talking about the ultra rare req level 6 variant the Halo 2 Beam Rifle Alpha. It one shots you even in the head even if you have upgraded shields. Other non- legendary sniper or beam rifles can’t do that.
Can you see how ridiculous this is?
If anything take out upgraded shields.
I honestly didn’t realize the alpha would 1 shot someone to the head even if they had upgraded shields on? I’m going to have to check this out. Interesting. If true that’s quite a gift for a req level 6 sniper.

In a nutshell, it’s like having a cheaper Nornfang (that requires headshots for guaranteed kills).

Same. Though personally I prefer rocking Advanced Sensors when I can. I don’t go U.Shields unless I pull out something like a Jorge’s Chaingun or Prime. Or if I see a ton of people on the other team running around with Bayonets…
Speaking of armor mods, I’d use the grenade ones more often if they were actually useful. Other than Explosives in the early game / Assault, and Splinter Grenade… Why are they so high level? Plasma Expert gives you one plasma grenade and at that level it needs it’s just… Pointless. If anything each of them should be merged with Explosives. Get the grenade, and some boosted 'nade power. Plasma Expert is spectacularly useless (like Death From Above).

That’s the thing, upgraded shields is suppose to counter this, what’s the point picking I up if people use this beam rifle. What I’m trying get at is that its needs it damage needed to be the same as the Halo 2 beam rifle.
