Updated Halo Infinite Feedback
(Based on Series X Ver.)
General
- Sound design is great weapons sound amazing.
- Movement feels good (a combination of halo 4&5 without the boosters)
- AI are a great addition to the game (maybe include an option to increase/decrease chatter?)
-Graphics could be better (understandable since it is tech preview)
-Sometimes frag grenades blind you as if they were flashbangs
-Audio bugs and screen flickering on all performance modes.
- Game crashes
- Increasing FOV decreases the size of the crosshair whereas Halo:MCC didn’t. Playing on FOV 120 feels like trying to headshot an ant with an ant-head sized crosshair. This wouldn’t be so much of an issue if they didn’t increase weapon recoil. This is personal preference and I feel you should have option to increase or decrease reticle size regardless of FOV if possible (or at least keep it default size).
- Weapon recoil- After going back and forth between Halo:MCC and halo infinite I feel weapon recoil should be removed or reduced to fall in line with other halo games as well as the lore.
- Attention to detail- This is a little nitpick but more environmental damage from bullet damage would be nice (ex. Fruit in Bazaar don’t react to getting shot etc.)
Weapon feedback
+BR- Perfect
-AR- Great but imo has unnecessary weapon kick that has never been existent in previous halos.
+Sidekick- Perfect
-Sniper- New sniper zoom gives serious tunnel visio and reticle is too big, but when hipfiring it feels too small especially with increased fov (should revert back to previous halo sniper reticles imo).
-Pulse Carbine- needs a buff it is completely outclassed by BR. Shots travel to slow and it overheats to quickly.
-Commando- needs a recoil reduction, while it looks and sounds cool I would never pick this up over a BR.
-Ravager- feels very weak uncharged/charged needs a buff.
-Skewer needs a little more aim assist. Risk definitely outweighs the reward for using this weapon especially on a higher fov in a battle.
+Heatwave- Don’t really have much feedback for the weapon, I feel its in a good spot
-Frag grenades- It could just be me, but I feel frag grenades go way further than intended and I never had this issue with previous halo games. It feels like after the first initial bounce gains additional unneeded momentum past the enemy despite tossing it in between us.
-Gravity Hammer- It feels nice and weighty but one thing I noticed is that you cant lunge with it? (could be wrong but could not do it in playtest)
- I feel equipment is in a good place.
Maps
+So far the maps are great, hopefully in the full game we see some alien like maps as well.
That being said im enjoying the preview so. If anything else comes to mind ill be sure to update it.
