I don’t really remember when they said they would but, these playlist desperately need to be updated. What maps will be added if you do know?
They just said community made maps. I am surprised they have not done this already.
I don’t think they’ve said anything specific.
> Community Maps Update
> Over the past few weeks, the Community Team has been working with Forgers from around the community on collecting, playtesting, and refining some of the finest community maps, with a specific focus on new and updated Big Team Battle maps as well as a big batch of new Grifball courts. As we’ve discussed recently, these maps sometimes need a bit of work before they can be brought in internally, (most commonly spawning adjustments, location names, etc), but we’re excited to say that Community BTB and Grifball maps have officially been handed off to internal teams for final playtesting from multiplayer designers as well as full map test passes. If maps need further changes, we’ll work with the Forgers directly on them, and the maps that are good to go will be slotted into future matchmaking updates. We’ll continue to keep you updated on this, too.
I saw there is a remake of Sand Trap from Halo 3. It was shown on a daily message several weeks ago. If you go on you tube and look at Halo 5 Mythbusters they show the map. I hope it gets in the
literally so many Brilliant maps already made to be put in BTB
but knowing them we won’t get any of the cool ones!
seriously i don’t see why its so hard to do, the majority of the work is done all thats needed is play testing and tweaking.

Why would you need to play test a grifball map when all they need to look for is, Flat, even spawns, roof/invisible blockers, even ball/goal placement

For what it’s worth, Bravo posted this a few weeks ago on reddit:
> Hey everyone - happy to chime in with an update and a little bit of context and transparency into process. Up front, I don’t have an exact ETA just yet, but will work to provide one in future blogs. We’re working with the multiplayer team on getting these in as fast a humanly possible - and Community BTB is next up - but it’s also worth noting that the teams that do this exact work (Multiplayer, Test, Services, and Forge) have all been going non-stop to deliver their respective components of the Hammer Storm update. We’ve got a good size team, but it takes everyone moving at 110% to deliver things like new game modes, Forge updates, service improvements, etc. (Which we hope you’re enjoying!)

To use BTB maps as the example here, once these are collected, they are first playtested with community members to ensure that basic things function correctly, map is playing well, nothing obviously broken, etc. If things need to be changed, we’ll work directly with the Forgers on changes, and start again. Breakout was a relatively quick process as Forgers didn’t need to worry about spawning. However with BTB, we’ve found that while many of the maps look incredible, they need a heavy amount of respawn work and adjustments - which means we can’t yet bring them into our internal environments for test passes, and they have to be tweaked and tested a bit more.

The goal at this point, however, is to have brought in a map that is essentially MM ready so that we’re not spending man hours playtesting content that isn’t 100% ready.

Once everything is brought inside, there are still weeks of work required to make sure that we’re delivering quality experiences in matchmaking. On top of that, the same guys and gals who bring you anything else related to multiplayer are the ones who do this work, so things like new game modes that are being requested have to be prioritized with playlist updates.

Yeah, it’s a Forge map made by: “WyvernZu”
Mor maps would be sweet. Sand trap would be a nice throw back. How about more game types? Regicide, assault, etc
