Really, these should not be tied in with content updates…
I wouldn’t mind the patch being released without Colony, but I think at this point it’s too far along. I’m just hoping it comes by this weekend.

I am so confused why everyone is assuming the glitch is with Colony. Has there been any indication that the patch would be ready to ship without Colony include?

They really ought to be ashamed that they allowed Kinsano to be so utterly broken as she is for this long. It’s disgusting. 100% impossible to beat her without being Kinsano yourself at the highest level. Total and utter joke.

and where did you get this information that it has been delayed again? Don’t spread false rumors, please. Nothing has been posted about it. You all need to realize that it’s still early in the morning out towards the pacific. they’re most likely getting things ready for release later on today. If they do delay it again get over it.

The bug was explained to be an issue with Skitterer targeting. Basically if you attached a Skitterer to a Banshee, attacked a base and then ran away, the Skitterer would continue to attack the base regardless of range or line of sight.
i guess it’s a bit similar to the protector sentinel/warthog glitch on HW1.
That being said, we have no idea what the wider implications for it are.
Tying the balance changes and patches with DLC releases is frankly absurd. If they were making deadlines it would be acceptable, but waiting more than a month for balance changes and fixes to GAMEBREAKING bugs and mechanics is just stupid. They need to fix their production cycle. I’m fine waiting as long as it takes for new leaders. That’s fine, and they should release complete and balanced. But waiting this long for balance changes to go live is driving me away from the game. Once something as broken as the current meta is is dominant, it needs to change ASAP. Not a month later. That’s how literally every other RTS is balanced. Monthly changes and hoping that it works out for the next month will never lead to a balanced game; it needs frequent tweaking. Agh.

It was announced that it wouldn’t be released on Mon 24th last Friday. See the pinned thread at the top of the forums.

i just want the balance patch. i could care less how long it takes to balance colony, but right now this game has so many broken strats and abilities, its kind of unplayable.

I get that people are mad but these baseless accusations don’t help anything. A game company that is motivated by money would want to make the game as balanced as possible. By releasing unbalanced content the game would not last as long therefore generating less money. Do you truly believe that 343 is trying to make new leaders OP so people will buy them? I have played a plethora of games that have released new characters during the life of the game. Sometimes the new characters are OP and sometimes they are UP. I have never seen a character released to be completely balanced though. Balancing comes from actually play testing the character so they usually do not get balanced until after release. You are a very jaded person if you think 343 is intentionally unbalancing games because they think more people will buy the DLC.
Sad times. In all honesty they should just not give us exact dates until they know it’s finished. They’re really dropping the ball on this game. Halo 5 got very good for me once all the updates rolled out so i was hoping the same for this game. Feel it’s already died out a lot faster than 5 though. Friends refuse to play it bc it’s just not a polished and appealing game. if it was cross platform pvp it might not be so bad but all these pc bugs ruined it for a lot of ppl i know. feels likeno one is playing on PC

I agree but see they could release them a bit OP then balance them next patch, ensuring people consistantly buy the new leaders to gain an advantage or be on equal ground then the cycle continues until no more new leaders.
Obviously i I don’t know that and can only theorize but based on blitz not having a level cap yeah these guys are greedy.
