I have been sitting here for 24 minutes and it is still not finished, my connection speed downloads 1.6gb faster then that, I can’t even see the progress on the update, it is just sitting there locked saying “Updating” , anyone else having this problem?
Still not finished -Yoink!-, I shut off my console and turned it back on again, it still says Updating and I can’t get in game, another 343 failure.
Weirdly, when I updated my game, it literally took one second. Downloads on the Xbox One never take one second.
I ended up shutting off my Xbox One and I am currently playing Planetside 2 on PC, it was not downloading at all and its stuck on downloading Master Chief collection update whenever I turn it on.
This is isn’t another 343 failure, it simply takes time for the update to download and install. Leave it for a while longer and it will finish installing. Others have reported the same thing and it installed fine by itself. You can’t blame 343 for the update process on the Xbox one

Do you have instant on / automatic updates enabled by any chance? If you do, you may already have the update installed. Either way, quit all apps so you’re back at the dashboard, hold the power button in for 30 seconds, remove the power brick for about a minute, plug it back in and switch on and then load up MCC.
edit Actually a great way of knowing if you have the update, is if you have a small _ (dash) at the top left of the MCC main menu.
