It seems like every time 343i make an update to this game, something else becomes broken. This time, it’s the aiming.
I played over the weekend and consistently out-played Diamond and Onyx players. Today I pick up the game, install the small update, then get consistently worked by Gold and Platinum players. My controller keeps dying for five seconds (Xbox One issue or 343i issue? IDK but it happens only in Halo 5). My aiming is horribly slow, even after turning it up two notches past what I usually play and turning the aim acceleration up.

Those were my thoughts exactly. How did it only affect the Diamond placed player? Did the aiming somehow let the golds and platinums become more accurate, but make only you less accurate? I’m pretty sure the tiers are just shifting to the left as population decreases. You may have been a Diamond player when the population was stocked up on new players and noobs but they have long gone, and the ranks are now settling into their respective places.

I think its more likely they tightened up the arena algorithm. There was a point last month when people stopped leveling up as onyx and then when the ranks reset, a LOT of people moved down a division or two.
My aim has gotten bettersince the update, my barrel practically points at them and never misses without me doing anything! !..lol yup my aim hasn’t changed, I have good days and bad days. Perhaps the lower ranked players are just getting better? I’m only in silver rank bit I don’t play arena much, could maybe get to gold if I tried but that’s about as far as I would probably get.
Before they updated the aiming in December, only certain players were experiencing the issues that were needing to be fixed. This could also be the cause.
To anyone saying “it’s my skill”, how would my skill drop that significantly after 3 days? I’ve gone 2 weeks without playing and been able to pick up where I left off, now suddenly I can’t aim?
Also, the batteries say they are at ~75%. Is this wrong? When I replace them with new batteries, my controller still turns on and off randomly, and it only happens in Halo 5. It’s never happened in FIFA. It’s never happened in Minecraft, Sunset Overdrive, Halo MCC, COD, while scrolling through Netflix or Youtube, etc. My controller blinks the light, turns off, then immediately turns back on during play, and it happens 2-3 times every time I play Halo.

At first I was going to just say defective controller, but if it works on other games then I’m clueless. I had that happen a while back on a couple games. Didn’t know what was going on, but it stopped doing it after awhile.
