The weekend thing is sort of like a beta. 343 is trying to get info on ways to improve it in the future. Too early to say it should be permanent.
My biggest concern is its running in the same time as the Halo Wars 2 blitz beta, and I’m just wondering if its really best to test Warlords this soon?
Looking forward to it!
The problem players are having with the large spartan companies is that they are specifically targeting non company players to get their commendations completed or just to get their K/D up. A real fix would be giving the losing team a req recharge speed increase to combat the heavy hitting enemy team and have a fighting chance to retake an armory. Another solution that would not be possible in halo 5 but something to consider in 6 if warzone is still around is giving alternate ways out of the base, like how Apex does (though it needs adjustment. pretty sure enemies are not supposed to be able to get into the pillboxes.)
Great news!!!
2 things though:
1, I’m really curious about what others have mentioned about getting dropped and being able to load back in… if 343 can find a way to let people in the party load back into the game if they lag out or are kicked for some reason, that would be fantastic.
- I am part of a company that plays competitive warzone but I will probably be the worst player on this playlist. The reason this playlist needs to exist is because when we’ve got more than 8 guys, we have to break up into multiple lobbies for any gamemode and that’s not why we bought this game!
WZ is going to get too wild again, oh god.
While I don’t have twelve people to play with, I feel this is a good step in the right direction! Good luck, 12-man teams!
Sounds like a good start, although I think a better fix would be to turn the specfics around so that you have a special warzone playlist with a max fireteam size of either 3, 2, or even just solo and then regular warzone is uncapped at 12. I should think matches would be made a bit quicker on the servers.

Just thought I’d say that I have lagged out of warzone before but managed to get back into the same game and even had the same score, kill count, etc. By that logic, I should think that if one were to rejoin or get invited back into the group of 12 they would load in since the servers aren’t putting in any individual players.
This is getting alot of support from the many I’ve spoken with.
While it may not be perfect out the gate, it is a step in the right direction…gotta start somewhere cause you don’t know if you don’t try.
Finally!

That’s only going to make Warzone more sweaty
Hopefully this will be permanent after.

1-50 would work better since a 50 is a max. A rank with CSR equals unlimited, me and everyone I played with were all single digit and teen champions in Ranked BTB when it was a thing. Since we had the highest CSR we basically got put into a league of our own that didn’t exist outside of are group of people that we played with. Seasonal Ranks didn’t work in Halo Reach and they don’t really work in Halo 5 either to be honest with you.
what is warzone warlordz?

Any chance we can get an active group of passionate 343 to work on MCC? Or are we still gonna sweep that under the rug?

> Please clarify. At this point, is this intended to be the “permanent solution”? I realize it’s a test, but is this the expected end result (barring any unforeseen results in the data collection)? I’m sorry if I’m misinterpreting.

Dont bite the hand that feeds you…
Dont expect him to know these answers, some of the questions you asked were answered already, please reread the article.
edit:
To the one asking about MCC
Also, they are trying, but there is so much they can do. You have to remember 343 is really just a stamp of approval as far as MCC goes, work was outsourced and the code is a mess. Please refrain from bashing 343 every chance you get.
So excited for this

> Hey folks - I wanted to share a quick update on the Warzone Fireteam “test” and plans for a NEW test that will be kicking off next weekend!
>
> As you know, late last year the Warzone design team implemented a test changing the max number of players in a WZ Fireteam from 12 to 6. The reasoning for this test was in response to feedback and data showing that the vast majority of WZ players were entering matchmaking either solo or in small Fireteams and facing off against pre-made 12-man squads was resulting in a poor experience. Games of individual/smaller disparate groups matching against seasoned 12-man pre-made Fireteams often resulted in lop-sided victories and in extreme cases, straight up “farming” of these helpless individuals for the duration of a game. So far the test is indeed showing that blow out victories/defeats are less common and feedback from solo/small Fireteam players has been positive.
>
> That said, we also recognize that while technically a minority in terms of the overall population, there is still an active and passionate group of Halo 5 Companies that have built a strong community regularly playing in 12-man Fireteam WZ matches. The change noted above negatively impacted that play style and segment of our population so the team has been working on potential ways to satisfy both audiences.
>

> Mark your calendars. Rally your Halo 5 Companies and assemble your Fireteams. Prepare for the “Warlords” playlist coming to Halo 5 Warzone on Friday, Jan. 27 at approx. 2PM PST. This is going to be run as a test and given population constraints will be setup to run for the weekend, similar in fashion to the Mythic WZ Firefight playlist.
>
> It’s important to note that you’ll ONLY be able to enter matchmaking in the Warlords playlist if you’re in a 12-man Fireteam. If this sounds cool to you but you don’t have enough friends currently, look into joining a Halo 5 Company and/or check out the official “Halo” club on Xbox One. Within the Halo club you can utilize the “Looking for Group” feature to find 11 more Spartans to join you in Warzone. We’re working on putting together a 343 Fireteam right now and look forward to doing battle next Friday. And if Uny, Grim and I can’t fill out our roster we’ll be in the Halo club looking for 9 more folks to take up arms.

> Thank you for your patience and understanding as we’ve worked through these issues and we look forward to your help and feedback as we test the Halo 5 “Warlords” Warzone playlist next Friday-Sunday. See you then!

So apparently people dont need to wait for this weekend to get 12man Fireteam in the WARLORD playlist. I guess there’s a way to bypass the 6 player limit. Is 343 aware of this? I dont want to get flag, but if you need me to provide example and games, I can certainly do so. Can a 343i employee please address this issue.
For anyone who needs people to play warzone with, join the Halo 5 Warzone club. Our only focus is warzone which makes finding a lobby easier.
