Honestly the best solution is to just make cross core for every core except the fracture ones.
I would honestly prefer if they made cross core for canon cores and non-canon separated. Non canon can cross with each other and canon can cross, but you canât put non canon on canon.
Well here is the one thing. I really wanted the samurai helmet on my armor. When the trailer was released I was like âman I canât wait to put that on my reach armor,â and the event come out and it is locked to a core.
Iâd rather see less clipping than more. Weâre forced to look at it in the in game intros and post game winners screen. It just looks cheap and brings the game down that little bit.
Like you say itâs not really an issue during gameplay so they could get creative and have certain armour combinations be incompatible with certain into animation and Spartan passes but Iâm guess that would take some work to set up.
looks at pile of nonsense on every single Spartan that doesnât even begin to look real or cannon
Cheap looking and brings the game down you say?
True enough but people will argue for their freedom of expression. Most people arenât going to argue in favour of more clipping.
To be honest, Iâm not too fussed about cross-core. Yes, the customisation feels really limiting right now, but I think the main reason for that is far too much armour pieces are being put in the shop, including for Fracture Cores which donât have much pieces to begin with.
Itâs just that, in my opinion, it looks like each core has its own specific style that doesnât mix well with other cores. Mark VII and Mark V (B) are the two cores that look the most similar to each other, but they still have their differences that get in the way of mixing their pieces without it looking a little odd. The other cores are even more differentâŚ
They absolutely can still add it, though, and Iâm not going to complain at all if they do, but Iâm also not upset at its absence. I think what we really need is a whole lot more armour coatings for each core and less armour being put in the shop for over 1000 Credits (ÂŁ8.00), but again, thatâs just my opinion.
the lack of cross-core armor coatings is a huge bummer.
Isnt it just head/torso/arms/legs to color in? How hard can it be to code in other colors for each armor set?
(they were able to add the Redsteel Splinter Armor Coating for all seven Armor Cores but they cant do all the other armor coatings?)
Yep, I canât put my cat ears on the new armor cores so I basically donât care at all about them.
Honestly? At this point just forget about it, itll never happen
New armor cores, new armors, and new coatings are absolutely gorgeous. I canât even lie. If we ever do someday get true crosscore, Iâm going to make the most insane Spartan combo ever. 343, donât fail us. You have 9 years.
8 and 3/4 actually, but whoâs counting days left to be disappointed?
Honestly at this point Iâll take armor coatings at the very least. Itâs been so long since they even mentioned anything about it and I genuinely do like their coatings on all the different armor cores. I just want something or for them to at least acknowledge that it still is something theyâre working on cause itâs been so long
I was expecting cross core coatings for canon cores to be a thing by now. ![]()
I think the problem with cross core coatings would be a lot of them would look the same because 343 made a lot of rip off versions of coatings for cores that didnât have that coating option that others did.
Oh we are very aware of that or at least some of us are. Like seriously did you see in the store the blue coating for the yori core? Everyone was immediately pissed because it was just a slightly bluer shade of blue then the default one we started with. Itâs ridiculous and it was a bad move from the beginning. Which is why the coating system is under garbage and should have never been done to begin with!
Itâs greed, freakinâ greed thatâs all it is.
Though weapon coatings are the real offenders. One weapons coating was the exact same design and almost all the same colors except for the blue was slightly purple.
The way player customization was implemented is strange. I would like to meet the group that came up with this method. I bet they have limited experience playing games because there is no way this was created by people who truly know and love gaming. Whatâs even stranger is that they have no intention of changing direction and are only digging their heels in, making it more of the same.
Itâs like wanting to wear a new pair of pants with a pair of trainers, only to find out that the trainers can only be worn with one outfit. Obviously, this was designed in such a way as to maximize monetization potential. In order to actually customize your character, you must buy a lot of separate pieces.
