Okay guys, so I stopped playing Halo 4 a long time ago (as much of the community has, but that’s beside the point). I would love to be informed of any title updates that have occurred.
First off, has a skill system been implemented? Is it waypoint only?
Also were there any key title updates adjusting the DMR?
Any other information on updates would be great. Thanks all.
Just check the bulletins, and also there are many other topics about this, just use the search button. If you want to know more about the update coming June 3RD click here.
Yes, the CSR system was implemented and yes, it is Waypoint only.
An upcoming update to the game on June 3rd will do the following:
[/li]- DMR Red Reticule Range reduced (LightRifle increased to match this)
LightRifle zoomed in RoF increased
Beam Rifle aim assist reduced
Carbine is now a 7SK with reduced spread
Battle Rifle is now a 4SK with a slightly slower RoF (1.43 kill time)
Mantis & Warthog Chainguns have received a 35% damage increase
Assault Rifle, Storm Rifle & Surpressor have received a slight damage buff but their aim assist has been reduced by 50%
That’s all I can remember off the top of my head, you should honestly read the Halo Bulletins every Wednesday, they contain a ton of information on the upcoming changes to Halo 4.
1- CSR is the new 1-50. Can only be seen on waypoint due to ui coding issues. Slayer-type playlists rank you based on personal score, while objective-based playlists are based on wins and losses.
2- On June 3rd, the DMR will get a red reticule range reduction, causing it to not cross map so much. The LR will match the DMR’s new RRR to better compete with it, while everything else will get a damage buff except for grenades, plasma pistol and boltshot.
Autos will get an aim assist reduction to composate for their increased damage.
I could really go for a “Halo 4 Change Log” in the Halo 4 Intel menu. I was wondering what changes occurred and when, but there really isn’t a good source for this info. Sure, you can dig through the long-winded bulletins and a few of them will contain the info you need, but why does it have to be this difficult?

I know I don’t get it.
OT:
[/li]- BIG Weapons Update coming June 3rd.
Many good community-made maps have been added to MM.
Playlists have been added and modified.
Spartan Ops is over, so you can play them all without having to wait.
Doubles, Multi Team, Snipers, Action Sack, Rumble Pit, and Throwdown (Pro playlist) added to Matchmaking
2 Community playlists in the past, 1 currently going on, most likely till June 3rd
Backend weapon tuning (343i can change weapons without TU’s) implemented in Halo 4’s 3rd TU
Boltshot range reduced in 2nd TU
Slayer Pro added to Infinity Slayer and Big Team Infinity Slayer. Don’t know the settings exactly though, but they’re different than the launch settings
MLG dropped Halo, but it is at AGL, EGL, and I think UMG
Community Maps sprinkled around in some playlists
The “Rotational Playlist” idealogy is gone
Oddball, KOTH, and Team Regicide were condensed into a playlist called Team Objective. Recently they added Extraction to the playlist and made it 6v6
Two new map packs: Majestic and Castle. The former is a small team map pack that whas received pretty well, and the latter is a 6v6 map pack with high quality Objective maps, now if 343i could just add BTB Objective
Some gametypes have no instant respawn, ordnance, or personal loadouts
A new playlist called “Legendary Slayer” is on it’s way sometime this summer, but not much is known about it, aside from the fact that it serves as a bridge between Infinity and Throwdown (like Team Slayer in Halo 3 and Arena in Reach), and it obviously will contain only Slayer gametypes.
