Ok while I am happy with Halo 5 in general, I have to admit the DLC maps have been pants and I`m fed up of remix defenders. Look at the facts:
Shadow and Light: Four BTB forge maps. Watch the sprint, they were mostly made by the community visting 343 not 343 main.
Gift: 1 Warzone map, 1 Remix, 2 BTB maps made in forge
Armoury: 2 Remixes
At the current rate we will actually get in 12 months of updates 4 maps.
FOUR. Thats a DLC and a third. So thats why I and many people are disappointed, when we was promised 3 DLC we expected 9 dev maps just like in the old days. Remixes are nice but in the end:
Truth and regret are both donuts where the middle is very dangerous, people hide in the bases and donuts
Empire and Eden, basically the same
The others aint so bad but still lazy on 343s part and easy to do. Im just not impressed. Its ok I guess because it is free but its abit misadvertsing, Halo DLC had always been 3 maps per pack, 3 maps since 3. (Plus the new release map pack in 3 and reach, Mythic II and Anniversary)

Haha, yes but back then we didnt have 1000s of pounds coming into the game though micro transactions. They said REQ= free DLC, Cold storage was a present that if I remember rightly Bungie had to fight microsoft to get release for free.
At this point, i could careless if the map is forged. I just want new maps. Not remixes. I have a forged version of the pit, narrows, and guardian and they look so freakin good. I want them in the slayer, ffa and arena rotation. I just want more/new maps

not having to fork over money for dlc is quite a blessing.
the dlc in this game is a joke, i think we can all agree on that and that we were essentially misled by 343i
I don’t think the community would be so frustrated if we were receiving new maps, here and there- as is, it looks and feels like an after thought by the devs. I mean, to me the remixes are fine, but come on…
There me are so many areas in the campaign that would make for aesthetically pleasing and refreshing arenas.

But remixes are effectively slightly reskinned forge maps. We`ve had ONE real map so far

The remixes would be fine as a bonus, or a supplement to one of the three maps a pack we`d expect. But by themselves? Nah.

I think thats coming actually, but while thatll be nice its lazy on 343s part and not DLC.

This is my point though. There has been 1 real map and a few remixes of maps we already have. I would rather fork over money for maps then end up with 10 remixes and 3 real maps over 9 months.
