Is the Awakening The Nightmare update 22 gigabytes?
Because I’m thinking my copy of the game got corrupted again.
The patch is 22 GB, the DLC is more.
Keep in mind that 22 GB’s in the patch includes 2 new maps and is replacing old code with new.

I think you & your friends copies of HW2 got corrupted by the update.
My copy of the game also got corrupted but thankfully I had a spare copy on an external storage device

Maybe you had the bug, that forced you to re-download the complete game. That’s why you had to download 44 GB. I am 95% sure that my game only updated around 22 GB and I am 100% sure that the game only downloaded around 10 MB for the unlock.
