halo 5 one of my favorite halo games that 343i has Made but it could be better because halo online is definitely going to grow fast and halo 5 will die. if 343 isn’t planning halo 6 to come out next year there going to need something big.
My ideas:
Make all those limited time packs like the classic helmet or the greatest hit pack in the req store even though you can go to the Xbox store get them not many people know about it.
Req pack winning rewards. when you win a game of warzone you get a gold or sliver pack. i haven’t played alot of arena but the ranking system should give better packs like a high ranked player may get a platinum pack or something completely different, where as someone ranked lower gets standard rewards.
More armor. not like more modified version of current ones but more armor like halo 3 armors but come from achievements. Many people want this i know you won’t maker money of this but people that maybe returned or sold the halo 5 game because of this may go and buy it just to get the armors at the end of the day you making money like with req packs . I for one have nothing against a company making money but there needs to be some more things for people that dont have there mom credit card or good paying job.
More weapon skins. I love the customization with the weapon skins but some of them are kinda basic im not ask for much but more skins are needed like flames on the Assault rifle and blue flame on the magnum and maybe some animated skins would be a nice touch even if they were earn able by achievements
That’s all I could think if anyone else as any idea feel free to reply with them.
I agree with though I don’t feel like this affects those that play every day as they already have those packs.
You do get a req pack for winning in arena, Warzone, and Warzone firefight. As for the packs being silver or gold, I’m okay with this.
I… think. Halo 5 I maxed out on its memory budget, so I don’t know if that entails more armor. Secondly I’m not saying no to this idea but the UI for finding armor pieces is horrible and adding more will make the problem worse.
I’ve seen a lot of issues with skins in halo. Personally as long as they are halo themed then they are fine. (Which btw halo 5 has many non halo themed skins)

no, theres too many armor sets already, that would just be more armor sets nobody uses.

That won’t change anything really
Halo 5 is going to remain dead, nothing is really going to change that. They aren’t adding anymore new content, important gametypes like BTB in H5 still don’t hold up to their previous iterations in the older games, and there aren’t that many maps made by the devs for MP. They made several large ones for Warzone, but Warzone is always going to be a somewhat unbalanced experience that gets boring after awhile. When it comes to regular matchmaking, all the maps are small. There’s a variety of forge maps, but you always know that they were made in forge because of the textures and how the maps don’t look as realistic or immersive.
Occasionally I come back to H5 for WZ Turbo whenever it returns because I find it enjoyable to kill opponents and then use their REQs against their team, but that’s really it. Otherwise, I just play other games and hope that whenever Halo 6 comes out that it isn’t garbage.

true skill 2 has killed wz for a lot of people. putting in a system that makes search times endless for teams is going to kill the game even more

People being paired against smurfs and players that were much higher level or much more skilled than them killed the game for a lot of people too. You remove trueskill 2, those people won’t play the game. You and some others don’t like it while others do. In the end, I doubt it changes much for the population

Sure I don’t thing’s getting any better. H5 maybe a bad Halo game…but the game itself just seems to becoming more unstable since it’s launch. I feel like the only reason people play at the moment is because of the 152 grind, I guess Turbo might be helpful for that when it returns next month. Also mostly trying to do same when I can…it’s weird how often someone abandons a perfectly good REQ vehicle to get killed by me a few seconds later with it while their team are dying because of them.

The last time Turbo was out an enemy player spawned a Scorpion at his home base on Attack on Sanctum, only to get out of it to go underneath the platform in front of his base to kill the Elite boss. I just ran over, hopped in his tank, and drove away with it. Primarily though, I just kill people and take their weapons. People don’t hop out of their vehicles too often for me. As for the 152 grind, I think some people are. However, I don’t think they realize how much the experience requirements go up during the last few ranks.

Gamers are strange…I’ve seen similar things happen with ghosts, warthogs…where they use it as a taxi, then abandon it. As for ranks…yep I realise how far, it’s a nightmare to think about. If it wasn’t for the 152…I would have gone straight back to MCC a long time ago.

I’ve been considering grinding for 152, but then I think about how I have about 9.5 million exp and that 152 requires 50 million. Despite how well I do (or perhaps how well I think I usually do maybe, I don’t know) in matches, that’s a lot of time to put into the game. Then I think that I don’t even like Halo 5 that much and that if I want to reach the max rank in a Halo game other than Halo 4 (which is extremely easy and I did after the MCC came out), then maybe I should do it on Reach where I’m a few matches from hitting Hero and will only need 16.3 million credits to get to Inheritor, or on Halo 3 where I’m a Brigadier grade 2 with a 45 skill ranking in at least one ranked gametype (which means if I get reacquainted with the game and do well it might not take too long).
Heck, I could even try to find lobbies for the few achievements I have left in 3, 4, and Reach. I could also try to get my last 21 MCC achievements (although it’d be 19 if it wasn’t for some weird bug with one of the audio logs in ODST).

Not a fan of H5 either. I feel like I’m completing it for completionist reasons. I find the best way to get through it is put on Netflix (used to snap it but now forced to use mob), just play mostly Warzone then switch it with some music. If H5 had the same ranking as H4 I suspect the population count would end up being as bad. Reach was ok but tried going back to that but it seems more blurry than I remember it when it came to X1 bc. I think BTB helps too because I remember when the game only had modes like Team slayer, I hated it because of how unbalanced H5 is, well I feel like BTB/Warzone helped fill the gap or I might have stopped playing altogether with H5.

I think it was always blurry, but that we just got so use to it that we didn’t notice. As for Halo 5, that’s why most people do it I think. I got all of the achievements, so SR152 is all that remains for me in that game.

Not sure about that, I think it be due to the resolution at the time since the X1 graphics, limitations are a lot higher than it was on the 360. Got all the achievements too, even helped some friends a few years after getting them, think I’m same boat with 152 plus I can’t see any point to the ranking playlists since I don’t enjoy playing H5 competitively.

Yep, and there are a decent amount of casual players.

They aren’t adding anymore new content, important gametypes like BTB in H5 still don’t hold up to their previous iterations in the older games, and there aren’t that many maps made by the devs for MP. They made several large ones for Warzone, but Warzone is always going to be an unbalanced experience that gets boring rather quickly. When it comes to regular matchmaking, they’re all small maps.

You remove trueskill 2, those people won’t play the game. You and some others don’t like it while others do. In the end, I doubt it changes much for the population

casuals don’t stick around as long as the hardcore players. 343 is going to end up driving off the og halo fans

.
A lot of us casuals are the ‘og fans’ The system needs to benefit the majority, not just you. There are flaws in every system.

A lot of social and casual players ARE OG fans. The reason they’re being driven off or aren’t enjoying the game as much is because of the sweaty fireteams all over matchmaking. The new system mitigates that dropoff.
