Update disabled offline DLC play

So, the title update, which as far as I can tell is designed to run a scan on your DLC content. In the process, this has stopped me being able to access DLC maps on my offline account (which worked not a week ago). When I choose my HDD as storage, it pops up with a message saying you must be “connected to Xbox LIVE and have the War Games Pass downloaded”. Why do I need to play online when I already have them downloaded and certified via free download being accessed from an LE disc?

This never happened before the title update. I can access the content just fine with my online profile. Why is this season pass such a joke?

Before anyone asks, I can’t get my offline profile onto XBL. Microsoft’s incredible way of working with connectivity means that I now have to wait until January to have an email proof removed because it was an alt. email from roughly 10 years ago.

I got the map pack for free via my season pass that came with LE.

Doesn’t matter either way. I own the content yet I can’t access it because of this update. Like I said, it works on my other account. Just not this one because I can’t go online with it at this point in time.

ah, i see. They must have added an online verification of some kind to stop people who got it for free without the map pass or le from using it offline as well. smart and stupid at the same time

I feel for you. I was intending on purchasing the LE right up until I saw an IGN unboxing video. I was shocked at how empty the LE really was. I couldn’t care less for digital content, gimme something physical! But yeah, LE seems like a giant waste.

OP, you’re forgetting that Microsoft was the one who shot themselves in the foot with the “trial,” proceeded to lie that it was a trial when everyone knew it was unintentional, and then had to get a fix for it in the first place. -Yoink- ups like this are expected at this point.
