anyone else have problems playing with the new update? I can’t play campaign anymore, I tried it and it sends me back to the Xbox interface
I’m in the same situation. I’m able to restart an old checkpoint but any new checkpoint after the update fails to load so any time I die, which on legendary happens a lot, the game puts me back to the dashboard. Can’t finish the game as is.
I am having an odd problem which I haven’t heard anybody else encountering. When my update began yesterday I left it going at around 36%. I woke up and the update was at 162% and is now at 293% and still updating, has anybody else heard of this issue or know any fixes?
I’m having the same issue, my update is reading 467% and still counting. haven’t seen that before and i can’t play halo now 
Hard re-boot your wifi then Xbox. May solve the issue.

Same here, played last night after update and all ok, played today got killed and now it loads and then exits back to the xbox interface.
Same thing happening to me.
Same here, but now it won’t let me play any campaign.
What I had to do was load a fresh mission from the beginning , not the mission I was on. After my first death I then backed out and started the mission I was on from the beginning and hey presto now working. I appreciate this is not much help to those on legendary that were towards the end of a mission and have to start afresh.

Actually I’m unable to play halo single player…
i can not open halo at all it just keeps wanting to update and ive tried everything i can think of except un-installing then re-installing it
i’m having the same problem Storm Eagle have, I’m downloading the update and its 270% and still updating, anyone knows how to fix it?
I haven’t tried the campaign since the latest update but multiplayer has some issues too. The “Mute All” button doesn’t work and I was banned for “quitting” until 7/22 after losing an arena match that I didn’t quit in.

Just cancel and restart the update
Cant play either. try to load campaign and it crashes. takes me to the xbox home screen. Very frustrating, I hope there is a fix for this soon!
I’m in the same boat. Can’t play Campaign… It just restarts.
