We believe that we’ve addressed the issue causing these matches. It looks like it started on Friday evening and was separate from our matchmaking improvements on Thursday. Thanks for the tweets and the specific links - they were super helpful as we investigated!
Cool. Now what about the mid-February update Unyshek? Because guess what? It’s already mid-February.
They’ll probably delay it to March.
That’s my guess at this point.
They’re probably still wanting to shove it out by the end of February, but don’t know if they’ll make the deadline or not so aren’t trying to ‘fan the flames’ so to speak and overpromise/underdeliver.
I personally just care if it works or if it addressing any real issues, I don’t mind one bit if a developer spend tons of time if its for something important. Lets hope its not just an update that causes more harm than good.
Same, I don’t mind either. I just really want desync fixed. It’s been so much worse since the matchmaking update a few days ago. It’s just hard to stay patient as we approach month four.
i could do better matchmaking pulling names out of hat. 343’s biggest problem is, it thinks it can find balanced matches in 2 seconds. my last match said the other team had 53% chance of winning. My whole team quit after getting stomped in the last round of oddball. it was like the other team was playing with us. this was after 5 straight losses and now i dont feel like playing.

This should just be 343’s slogan at this point.
Mid February could arguably be any time this week.
343 might even say Feb 27th as it would be somewhere in the middle of the first day and last day of the month.
They tend to like dropping their big news/updates on Friday’s, so expect it then
