Until there is a way to pick our gametype, there should be no bans for leaving Quickplay/BTB games. This is the ONLY way to find a gametype you want/need. Players shouldn’t be punished for the shortcomings and inadequacies of 343’s matchmaking system. Either let us directly browse by gametype, or don’t punish us for having to brows by gametype by dropping into matches until we get the right one. It’s simple as that.

No you should absolutely get a ban for repeatedly leaving games just to find your own personal challenge in a team game where you are simply screwing everybody else over for your own stupid battlepass.

Maybe for ranked, but quitters get replaced within seconds in quick play, so I think they should remove it then.

That would be one less incentive to buy swaps, though so it won’t happen.

agreed. i mean… what’s the purpose of the BOTS then? they’re there to replace players whom left, because of the stupid progression/challenge/playlist system. if i wanna play slayer, i wanna play slayer, not the 15th sodding CTF MATCH

on a side note… sometimes the bots don’t join, at all. like in quickplay, if a player left, no bot joins to replace them. there isn’t even a player joining. i’ve legit been in a 4 v 2 match with no bots joining to help.
same thing with BTB. i’ve seen half of a team entirely gone, but with no bots joining

The only time I see no bots or players replacing quitters is if an equal amount of people quit on each team, keeping the number even.

I’m pretty much done with mp until we have dedicated playlist. Slayer, Swat, objective, hopefully snipers. I wonder if it will happen. It’s obvious 343 isn’t listening and want to force people to play certain game types.

Players will do anything to justify terrible behavior.

Just play the damn game

it’l happen when they find a way to inconvenience or limit people in someway with the given playlists

hay, look man, i’m sure players, myself included, will play the game properly and play nicely. once the devs are nice back.
when push comes to shove, well… escalation seems to be the only option

ya? well, i don’t want an free barbones game, ever thought of that?
what if i wanted an actually good and complete game, for a fully priced 60-70. ya know, something worth returning to. something to distract myself and remove myself from reality. and not have a store and transactions shoved in my face.
and i really entitled when i ask for someone to do their job? no, i’m just a dumb grunt that criticizes the excuses that big boi companies hold over gullible people that need to hold higher standards with games.
i mean, how DARE i request a complete game that took 6 years to make. oh, the humanity

Agreed

Just play the game, don’t quit matches.

Criticize all you want, just don’t ruin other player’s fun.

niiiice. good talk :3

Well, until we actually come out of this bata, I have to agree.

I wish I could easily report people like you in the in-game drop down of player names. Numerous quits should be a perma ban kind of thing, or daily/weekly penalty. STOP QUITTING.

There never was a beta that we can come out of. When it released on Nov 15th that was the finalized version of matchmaking. They weren’t doing a UI beta, they are just slow and can’t update their game, and will now have even more increasingly difficult tasks seeing as though people are playing all odd hours of the day so one bad update will leave their game reviews even worse than it currently is.

Nah hard disagree. They forced people to enter into playlists and all but gated progression of any kind behind challenges, so why should they then continually punish people for doing what they forced them to. Not everyone should be forced into playing the match they don’t want to

I’ve posted a different way. Both threads has been closed. They said it’s matchmaking manipulation. But it still works and I’ve never received a ban

I’m sure you can find it in my activity

Yeah well if they don’t want to play, then they can take their ban and chill out for a bit and play the campaign or something. Players are not forced to do continuously quit games. That is an action they are utilizing and to act like it’s all 343’s fault is nonsense.

I do not care about other players progression and moreover it’s their engagement with it that is making the game worse while simultaneously being a tacit endorsement of the system, especially so if they actually paid for the battlepass. For all the complaining that we’re seeing around this system if 343 sees that they are making money and having a high level of player engagement with this system they will consider it a success.

It’s absolutely 343s fault lmao. You can’t just cram multiple modes into one playlist and expect people to be happy. If I want to play only CTF give me a CTF playlist, it’s that simple. But if you’re going to combine slayer, CTF, oddball, etc etc into one playlist then of course people are going to quit. Your first post was hinting at it being a battlepass thing and while I know that’s true for some people, some of us just want to actually enjoy the modes we want to play, not suffer through 5 matches of slayer and oddball before finally getting a CTF match. Even I’d quite if I still had the game installed but because it’s lacking those individual playlists I’m not going to waste my time with their trash setup. It’s literally the launch as well which is the best time to have as many playlists and options as possible lol.

Banning people won’t solve anything, they’ll just wait it out🤷‍♀️ 343 should just put in the effort to fix why people quit
