Unsporting Behavior in Ranked Arena

I was playing Ranked Slayer (Solo queue) a few days ago and was having a really good game. I checked the scoreboard to see that I was 17-0, so I got excited at the thought of getting a perfection medal. Unfortunately 2 of my teammates took notice to the leader board and decided to chase me around the map, ultimately team-killing me. As if that wasn’t enough, they took turns betraying me 2 more times after that. Can anything be done about this? I have their gamertags and a recording.

Other than reporting them through Xbox Live, not really.

There’s only 2 things that can be done.

  • reporting
  • teaming up with people to avoid this kind of scenario altogether. I know you went into solo Q thinking perhaps that would offer a good experience…but trust me…the best way to experience halo is with a team unless you’re a FFA strictly player.

Damn people are just toxic this sounds disgusting…

BEANZ

It happens, just happened to me today too, I was 22-6 and my teammates started killing me and suiciding. We end up losing by 1. Who knows what goes through peoples heads.

Okay, first off, props to you for being that good at the game. You deserve that perfection medal! Your teammates make me sick, and should literally be banned from playing Halo 5. I get that they could make new accounts, but they should learn their lesson by being banned. Another thing, I appreciate how chill you are about it, even though they were annoying as hell. Sorry mate, and good luck on future games

Thanks dude, and yeah I really wish there was a way to have them banned. Even a week or two of not being able to play on your main account would teach lessons 100%. But oh well. Hopefully enforcement action will be more prevalent in the next game.

Yeah hopefully. Anytime man!

I know, people can be this toxic unfortunately. I think friendly fire needs to go, but even then, I am sure they will still chase you around and stand in your way, to make sure you land the least shots as possible at the enemy. And probably the enemy will kill you both too.

I play a lot of destiny, ironically there a regular call out for friendly fire to be enabled in both pve and pvp , they usually cite halo as the a successful use case scenario.

I actually think FF is a good thing it makes you think a bit before you toss that nade or blast that rocket into a crowd. Adds another dimension of strategy to the game. Although I hate the people are toxic though

Second post I saw about this. People really do just chase down players who are 15-0 +, huh? That blows.
Don’t solo que, I guess.

I think they don’t know what they are asking for. Just saying.

When you consider a decent slice of destiny player is either ex halo or current halo players, I think they just might know what they asking for. ,
my point is there’s issues associated with friendly fire on or off.

Its becoming increasingly obvious to me that the perfection medal was a mistake

Yeah i know how you feel. I had a purple Reg gambit in arena. As soon as the game started two of my teammates shot every one else on the team taking away my shield. Later on in the game the started jumping of the map. So frustrating!

This gives me flashbacks to the hundreds of times I have been killed for power weapons.
