I was thinking the exact same thing. We asked for the Hornet or the Falcon or both to return to the game or maybe even the Hawk from Halo Wars. But this… why don’t we just call it what it is: The Phaetons’ “special” little cousin that takes “special classes” in school.

Way to make waiting so much harder… for no reason. Wish they were able to keep this stuff under wraps just a tad longer for hype’s sake. I mean; obviously it’s not like before because these are actual -Yoinking- changes to the game this time instead of REQ dumps, but it’s bad enough we’ve already waited this long for real changes to Halo 5 as a whole package.

Except its not. I doubt those wings are just for show, I bet it can do a little more than move up and down. I’ll give you that its weapons are the UNSC phaeton equivalent, but i feel like thats where the similarities stop.
For the record, its just as much a banshee in that regard. The banshee is fast and low, shielded, has a chaingun and a rocket. Then they call it a VTOL and suddenly its a phaeton.
