UNSC Turret Question

So, I feel like this is something I should know… but does a turret that is upgraded for anti-air or anti-vehicle still do the same damage to infantry as a non-upgraded turret?

Also, do the turrets prioritize their targeting (so the anti-air turret would automatically shoot at any air unit before any other unit)? If it does prioritize their targeting, if the infantry is the first thing my anti-air turret is in range of, does it continue shooting the infantry it was locked on to before switching to air?

Not sure any of this will change how I play, but it may change how I upgrade turrets. Something I have been wondering.

I’m not sure about the first question and have wondered this as well.

As for the second, yes, your turret will always prioritize what they are upgraded to counter, even if they are shooting at another target. Let’s say you send a grunt squad in and there is an anti air turret there that starts shooting at the grunt, then you send a banshee in. The turret will switch to the banshee.

Good to know… I am a Cutter player, so was wondering if it would have been worthwhile to send in a hog or something first if I see a base full of anti infantry turrets.

Haha nope. I mean look at the bright side, you may not be able to take their base with infantry but you did scare them into spending 1200 power that will be useless once you have any other kind of unit lol.
