UNSC Ships Question

Dear Waypoint,

I was wondering, what possible locations could there be on a UNSC ship? For example, cyro bays, hangars, armouries… but what other rooms/places/bays??

Please be as extensive with your replies as you’d like. I’m really curious about what different areas there could be.

crew quarters, lunch room, bridge, medic hall, engine room, slipspace drive room.

In Navy terms a Lunch Room is a Mess Hall, (or Chow Hall) and the Medic Hall is called the Sick Bay.

  • HEV launch bays
  • Armouries
  • Crew Quarters
    — Captain’s Quarters/Office
    — Barracks
    — Officers’ Club
  • Bridge
  • Mess Hall
  • Medical (sick) bays
  • Engine rooms
    — FTL Drive room
  • Escape pod launch bays
  • Maintenance halls
    — Maintenance corridors
  • Safe/panic room
  • Prison cells (the brig)

Are there any other locations that we’ve missed out? What locations are there in naval ships of the 21st century? There must be missile rooms or other offensive launch bays. Maybe a communications room? Unless there would just be enough communication hardware on the bridge?

Such obvious rooms just slip by my thought.

And laundry! Of course, how else will the UNSC keep their uniform clean?

What other self-sustaining rooms would be necessary?
And are there any more warship locations that I’ve missed out?
