Hey, just my second thread made here.
Looking for information about special equipment used by marines and odsts and the like (the nonspartan forces).
I have seen things like Medic, which you expect, as well as comm equipment, demolitions gear, technicians - what else is there, even if rare or unusual?
What additional gear are they given for that job?
Links would be cool, but any response is appreciated, thanks!
We don’t have any confirmed special equipment, but theoretically heavy troopers would carry either an M319 Individual Grenade Launcher or possibly an M41 SSR “SPNKr” for anti-vehicle combat. They might also replace their MA5 with an M379 SAW, though we have yet to see this in-game.
Team leaders also have Command Network Moduals to link to UNSC battle com I think. Thats the little attachment you see on the side of some Marine’s helmets.

Yes, that particular page helped me out quite a bit, but I am looking spetcifically for the information regarding the non-generically issued equipment, the gear that specific battlefield roles get.

Well, to be honest there isn’t many specifics about equipment and gear for the UNSC Marine Corps. The best resource for that would most likely be The Halo Encyclopedia; even though it’s out of date it does have a lot of specifics in terms of gear.

If the models from ground command are anything to go by, Army soldiers used their M319 pretty regularly
Yes, but weapons are standard issue - looking for equipment issued more on a battlefield role basis (again, things like medic equipemnt, comms gear, repair kits, demolitions equipment, etc.)
have all rifles to have a under barrel weapons like grenade launcher or shotgun.

Biofoam, radios, and I honestly can say I’ve never seen/heard of one thing in the Halo universe repaired.
It might be helpful to give an example of what you’re looking for, I know you think “medical equipment” is enough, but for the field grunt biofoam was the end all be all. Halsey had portable MRIs and shoebox sized cloning tanks, but that’s not what you’re asking for.
Comm gear: Think SINGCARS but with a small omnidirectional antenna since they’re linking to spacecraft and satellites.
And again, I don’t think they repair anything in-universe. At least in the field.
Well, there is this from SpartanGames:

> UNSC WEAPON RACK – JW Armoury Storage Cabinet:
> The JW cabinets are tough enough for field use and hold enough firepower to make life rough for any Covenant attacker. Each can be configured for multiple mission and deployment scenarios, and is easily secured to prevent unauthorised access. A cabinet can hold ammo boxes, spare parts, optics, and maintenance tools, in addition to multiple weapons.

> UNSC FUSION REACTOR – MEP-PU-2550D/E Generator:
> The UNSC marches as much on batteries as it does beans and bullets. Air-transportable fusion power plants are widely used by UNSC Army and Air Force units to meet their mobile power requirements, particularly in austere tactical environments where facility-integrated solar panels and wind turbines are insufficient or inappropriate.
>
> UNSC LARGE BARRIER – M72 Mobile Barrier-Large:
> The M72 MB-L is a heavily armoured mobile protection shield used in both terrestrial and shipboard security roles. Drop-down travel wheels and steering lever allow the shield to be moved by a single individual on flat terrain, or it can be towed by any utility vehicle.
>
> UNSC SMALL BARRIER – M72 Mobile Barrier-Small:
> Widely used by UEG and UNSC security forces, the M72 MB-S is a one-man bunker that marked the site of many last stands in the closing days of the Covenant War. As with the MB-L model, drop-down travel wheels allow the shield to be repositioned.

> UNSC CARGO PALLET – 463L Master Pallet:
> The 26th century iteration of the standardized military air transport pallet. Beloved and hated by logisticians sweating under a hundred distant suns.

> UNSC CARGO CONTAINER – Transit Box DR44:
> Features wireless access to packing lists, GPS tracking, environmental sealing, and ballistic-rated materials. Still doesn’t explain why your unit got shipped a pallet of them filled with pens and ceremonial swords intended for a Marine unit in another Sector.
That mobile fusion reactor though. Wish we had information on how much power it generated (in megawatts).
MikeDoubleOh3 - not really looking for a specific pice of equipment, so it would be difficult to give an example. Basically, aside from very minimal details added to some games, books, and the like, all marines seem to be carbon copies with the same unsc weapons over and over - and it would make sense that some Marines sure fill combot roles aside from “Warm Body with Basic Projectile Weapon Proficiency.” With that in mind, I assume there to be information about such roles, and particularly the gear they are issued, and I am curious to see if there is truly no information, or if some can be found.
SC Matt 7 - while not what I am lookibg for here, that is actually helpful on another question I was considering posting, thanks!

Well said
