Anyone else notice this? Not really a big deal canon wise, organizations even military ones tend to change their logo and insignias with time. The end of the Human-Covenant War was a major event and the perfect time for a shift in design. Thoughts?
Noticed it as well when they let out that limited edition info. It’s on the box but didn’t give it much thought.

Things will change overtime…Overall I’m okay with its new looks. Still think they should of stayed with the Original.

PLEASE LET THIS BE NEW AND NOT ANOTHER DAMN RE-IMAGINATION!!! I think this new logo looks great, but it should only be post covenant war. All these re-imagined things are making Halo lose respectability in consistency.
New logos pretty good. I wish the bird was a little less realistically drawn, but all things considered, it’s pretty -Yoink!-.

I don’t know anyone notice but the UNSC logo is on the forward unto dawn, so I think this is the same one in the same universe. I think 343i is trying to make the halo universe from scratch starting with halo 4, so I think it breaks canon in the way bungie did it in halo 3. To me I don’t like it but it feels like the logo came from another sci-fi universe. It looks good from afar but up close you can see it looks too flashy and it makes it…kind of ugly. Personally I don’t like the eyes and the nostrils of the bird and the star between the “U” and the “N”. Makes me wonder why we needed a new logo?
Why the shield? Its the united nations space command. Now for the UNSCDF, a shield would make more sense, but maybe some swords or guns for regular UNSC.
If you think about it, as time goes on the insignias for everything changes over time. Be it slowly and barely noticeable, or very drastically.
Look at NBC’s logo from when they first aired to now. (It actually has most incarnations going through at the beginning of their shows.)
I have to say, this newer emblem looks beautiful. High quality. A lot of dedication and detail was put in it. I find it very well executed.

The new logo is nice, but you need to remember that Halo 4 is after the Human-Covenant war. Things have changed thats a fact.

Yes, it’s been updated and it’s hardly surprising that it did change in the four years that MC has been asleep since Halo 3.
I like it but I do want to know if it’s an in-universe change or a retcon. I hope for in-universe but its appearance on the FUD makes me believe it’s a retcon.
