I was just wondering if anyone could elaborate on the UNSC Infinity statements that say Halo 4’s multiplayer will take place on the deck. Is it implying that all maps are contained within the deck of this ship, or what? I haven’t been able to figure it out. Thanks!
There is a huge training deck on the ship specifically for Spartan IV’s
The Training Deck has state of the art holographic technology that is projected onto pneumatic risers that form the walls, ceiling, and ground. This allows for it to appear that you are fighting everywhere.
The multiplayer of Halo 4 (War Games) is featured on the Holodeck of the UNSC Infinity. This Holodeck is able to replicate many known environments for use in the training excersizes for the Spartan IVs.
Spartan Ops are real environments, outside the Infinity.
So, technically the multiplayer maps are simulations. But it doesn’t affect anything, just a bit of background story.

According to patents set by Microsoft, we’ll soon be playing a game with a holodeck, inside a holodeck. 0_o
