I would want a futuristic ocean Ship because it’s never been done before in a halo Game and it would be fun to play with in forge that has land and ocean in the map
the ship can lock on half of the map takes place in the ocean and other half takes place on land
i would like to see if the community would like a futuristic ocean ship in halo forge or not old and new fans of Halo😃!!
From a practical lore point of view though, what’d be the purpose of a larger water vehicle? Seeing as we’ve got spaceships and air transports outclassing water stuff, at least in basically every aspect I can come up with.
I’m assuming there maybe was covenant and human war probably some part of the war took place in the ocean maybe a underwater futuristic ship into forge!!

Can’t say there was or not. In the halo lore so far there was no mention of it but the navy took to the skies. Who knows though

Well in H4 and H5 we had mutliple armor sets like Oceanic and Mako which suggested that at some point Spartans acted underwater, but yeah like you said there’s no lore providing anything specific.

The UNSC still fields a wet Navy that includes aircraft carriers. There’s not a lot of info on the seaborne forces, except a small paragraph on Halopedia, but they did participate in the Battle of New Mombasa.

Well there could be a section where the Master Chief has to pilot an old forerunner ocean ship that is needed to activate something (a construct or something) while you defend it or something. They could come up with any number of reasons why you are using an ocean vehicle. It’s Sci-Fi, they can get creative.
Posted this on previous thread when someone asked for vehicle ideas:
Gaviidae (Divers)
Light Marine Air Assault Vehicle
Developer: Arclight Corporation
Non-homing torpedo missile. Slow acceleration. Very fast diving speeds.
Fast, manuverable air/marine vehicle with advantage over covenant weapons in the sea as plasma is ineffective underwater. A colony based vehicle, Gaviidae were originally used without armament for scouting aquatic areas on first contact missions. They have recently received interest from the UEG after several recent forerunner installations researched were almost entirely engulfed underwater and several quarantined areas only reachable with underwater transport. Gaviidae reach top speeds of about 75 knots (approximately 86mph/139kph) underwater and about 175 knots (approx. 200 mph/324kph) when diving in the air. It is rumored that Gaviidae were first conscripted using reverse technology from a downed forerunner vehicle. Note they are sluggish during take off and when escaping the water.
