UNSC Flying Vehicle Idea

EDIT: This is an idea for future installments, as much as i’d like to see a UNSC flyer in Multiplayer i just dont think it’ll happen this time around.

While playing the Crysis demo yesterday i took a liking to the new vtol they put in their multiplayer map. I later on thought, “this would be a cool idea if it was implemented in Halo.”

To describe the vehicle, it’s not as big as a pelican but larger than a falcon. In the vtol you could walk around freely and grab one of two turrets to use in suppressing the other team (sort of like the falcon). If you decided, however, to just shoot out of the back of the vtol you could do that.

If this was implemented in the next halo as a BTB vehicle this would scratch 2 itches.

  1. We would finally have a pelican-esque transport vehicle in multiplayer

  2. People would get their unsc flying vehicle back.

Now before i end the thread i found both a picture of crysis’ vtol and some gameplay from the beta. Review them both and see if this is something we’d enjoy in the next halo. ALSO please suggest a name for this vehicle (i was thinking seagull

im liking it!! but id still prefer the pelican in matchmaking or at least a hornet which can carry people or even a falcon that can carry 2 people inside it

sorry but bump. I’d like this idea to become popular

The fact we have NO UNSC air vehicle for use in MP sucks.

i know. It kinda sucks.

Amazing concept. Very good idea.

i feel like the picture looks kinda like an Albatross and a Darter combined (both of which are Halo vehicles, not usable)

Well do they have a unique purpose? It needs to have a purpose besides just being there. Is it going to give me something that the Banshee won’t?

Something of a baby pelican or a pelican gunship that isn’t over powered would be nice right?

> Well do they have a unique purpose? It needs to have a purpose besides just being there. Is it going to give me something that the Banshee won’t?

Of course, my idea is based off the teamwork aspect of the falcon. This combined with the idea of freely walking about the inside of the vehicle gives you more of a strategic advantage when being attacked by the banshee

The interesting thing about the Crysis 3 VTOL is that it’s a moving piece of the map on rails, not an actual pilotable vehicle.

well just think of the elephant. We were able to run around inside of it while someone piloted it. I would guess the same concept could work on a smaller scale

People for 343 listen to this guy!

Better yet, there should be a BTB game variant called “invasion!” Which one team starts off in a transport aircraft that lands on the map, while the opposing team starts off in a base like structure for defense! Of course newer larger balanced maps would have to be used, so the invading team or base defending team doesn’t have an unfair advantage! And of course after a point limit is reached or base is breached or invading team is “smoked,” the teams would switch positions…something like that! Just something to add “spice” to the current game variants. Think about the possibilities…lol. Also, it would be nice if the BTB player count could be expanded to 10x10 or 12x12…but I know the Halo series has always been limited to 8x8 because of game play issues.

The jetplane from SaintsRow3. Boom.

sounds cool to me

Sounds like a hybrid of the Hawk from Halo Wars

definately would give us a chance to use transport vehicles

it should be a free dlc

> it should be a free dlc

actually, this is more for future titles than it is this game
