So I was just thinking that the Falcon from Halo Reach would be absolutely perfect for Warzone Multiplayer. It’s a troop transport gun platform that would be ideally suited for such large maps, be it ferrying troops to where your team needs them, or providing some fire support. In terms of the latter it’s definitely less powerful than the banshee, not having a fuel rod cannon, but it makes up for it by being a troop carrier. And For Raid on Apex-7 it would be lovely for flying along the coast-line as a passenger, It would truly feel like the beach landing of Silent Cartographer and The Covenant in Halo 3. I know it’s too late to add it to the game for launch, but 343 have said they’re already working on new vehicles and weapons for post launch, and this is definitely at the top of my list (along with the ODST pistol). What do you think?

throw in the odst smg and halo 2 covenant spectra
Yeah. Seeing the falcon again would be awesome.

Yeah, the SMG also goes without saying. I do love the spectre as well, but it is fairly similar to vehicles already in the game, whereas the falcon would fill a niche that is currently empty.
To be honest, I’m fine for whatever flying unsc vehicle they have. But it would be cool to get the hornet back.
I rather a Civilian pelican that has high shielding and stealth bombing attack with laser weaponry on the front. Civilian Pelican could hold 6 people, but would be a Mythic vehicle.
What about the Hornet from Halo3, smaller lighter but still able to carry 2 squad members.

Sounds pretty cool, but surely if it were a civilian vehicle it wouldn’t have the stealth bombing or laser weaponry? Since those are distinctly uncivilian. Maybe a common civilian version with no weaponry, then rarer military versions which have guns and or lasers, and finally and ONI variant that has guns and the stealth bombing? It just wouldn’t make sense to have that sort of firepower on a civilian pelican. That said, Pelicans are probably a little big for warzone, same sort of class as a phantom, and so would require a bit too much damage to take down. Falcon’s are pretty small, not much if at all bigger than a Phantom.

I’d completely forgot that you could ride on the sides of Hornets! I’d totally love to have the Hornet back as well, but in terms of firepower and size, it generally fills the niche already occupied by the Banshee. So if I could only have one, it would have to be the Falcon, because the way I see it, it fills a new roll. But adding both would be awesome. Also, I used to play a tonne of Bad Company 2 back in the day, and my favourite thing was piloting the Black Hawks. The Falcon is the closest thing to that in Halo. So instantly has an even extra special place in my heart.
Maybe it is a hidden secret…?

isn’t there a “long barreled smg” as a preorder bonus? could’ve sworn there was… not quite the same thing, but similar in spirit (maybe?)

Like how you could secretly fly the pelican and phantom on that one level in Halo Reach?

Don’t know about that, but there is a silenced pistol. So I guess in effect it will be like the ODST pistol, but I also just loved how that one looked.
Yes falcon would be a great addition! One of my favorite vehicles in Halo. Show your support and get 343s attention!

I agree. I prefer the hornet.
I assume they have some reason for not putting either of them, or even a new human flying vehicle, in the game. Maybe they couldn’t get the balance or mechanics right? Or even because they plan to add them post launch. It’d be interesting to find out if anyone from 343 reads this.
I just want the hornet back
I definitely agree. The Falcon is by far my favorite aerial vehicle of all the Halo games. I loved its movement. I also liked how it required good teamwork between the pilot and gunners in order to survive and get a lot of kills.

That’s a good point. Now the humans are the only ones without a flying vehicle so it could be added post launch, although not all halo games in the past have had human aerial vehicles. Hopefully they’re working on one though.

Yes exactly, it’s the coordination that I always loved about it. It was powerful in the right teams hands, but not a one man murder machine like the scorpion or the mantis. Made it some much more rewarding when you did well with it. Though it could maybe do with a few tweaks to the flight controls to make it handle a bit nicer.
