I don’t know how many Engineers were found in the Onyx Dyson’s Sphere, (See Glasslands), but I wonder if they found enough that some might serve aboard the UNSC Infinity? I mean considering the technological importance of the Infinity they would undoubtedly be a major asset to have. Plus they could assist on the battlefield protecting troops with over shields like they did with the Covenant and ODSTs.
I always liked the Engineers. Seeing some on our side would be sweet I think.
I’m sure I read something about Engineers being used to install the Forerunner technology onto the Infinity… might have just been some guys speculating in a thread though.
It would make sense, especially considering how little expertise the UNSC have with such advanced technology and Engineers being a completely passive neutral species who just want to fix things.
The Engineers in the Dyson sphere remained there. They made three others to care for and maintain the Forerunner tech taken by the UNSC. These are the only three known to be in UNSC hands. That said, they could create more but I doubt the UNSC have enough to risk assigning any to a vessel.
Yeah I thinking about this too. It’d be cool if we saw Virgil from ODST.
They Remind me of advisors from half life, it would be cool to have some on our side for a change.

I can see why they would be cautious but at the same time the Infinity isn’t any ordinary ship. It’s the pride of Humanity and their most advanced ship yet. Engineers would be invaluable. Plus it has been 4 years, I’m sure the Engineers made more. IMO of course.

Like you said, there’s no doubt they’ve made more but I think that, between the Infinity’s AI(s) and onboard tech experts and engineers, they’d have things adequately covered without having to risk any Engineers. They’d likely have them working on development and assisting in their study of Forerunner artefacts.
