UNSC encounters Ancient Humans in Halo Infinite

I was thinking, considering the colorful history Installation 07 has regarding Ancient humanity, and the flood (both current and precursor forms, specifically the Primordial), what if the UNSC found stasis capsules somewhere deep in Installation 07 containing Ancient Humans? They could’ve been captured victims who were to be later experimented on since they were used as such when the Forerunners were desperate for a cure for flood infection, especially in the Palace of Pain. How do you think the modern and ancient humans would react if they were to have met?

Shock ?

I imagine the UNSC wouldn’t do anything with them, any human population on this ring will either be extinct or very primitive. The UNSC also happen to be in some dire straits at the the moment, so they have neither the time nor the resources to do anything with them. Perhaps they’d be interested with such a discovery after the war, but historical discoveries will take a backseat until the Created are dealt with.

But what if the Ancient Humans could be of assistance? They were able to “potentially” surpass the Forerunners and even had the upper hand for a bit during their war against them. Who’s to say they can’t be of service to the modnern humans?

These aren’t the same humans as the ancients, just a primitive batch used for testing, the only thing of use that would be found on that ring will likely be forerunner in nature. I suppose they could be useful if taught how to hold a rifle, but I doubt the UNSC would jeopardize the safety of any natives in such a way.

You got a point there, the ancient humans on Installation 07 weren’t entirely the same as the ones that battled the Forerunners while avoiding the flood.

Hmmmm there’s an error here. According to halo canon the ancient humans only lost their war with the forerunners because they were also fighting the flood at the time.

Can’t help but think back to that caveman Spongebob episode.
