It’d be cool if there was one in one of the games…
i think there is one in spartan ops that flys by
Infinity is technicaly a destroyer
The ships in Spartan Ops were Strident-class Frigates. The Infinity is a Destroyer by Forerunner standards but she’s most likely classified as a Carrier by humans.
We need to see all ship classes in game at some point
a destroyer is a fast maneuverable long-endurance warship intended to escort larger vessels in a fleet, convoy or battle group and defend them against smaller powerful short-range attackers. Which is kind of what the stalwart frigates do so there probably redundant.

Maybe the Stalwart Frigate can be classified as a destroyer, but I think it is meants the Thanatos Destroyer class.
There are Halberd-class Destroyers in Halo 5’s main menu.
Im pretty sure that the Infinity would be a Super Super Carrier, as there is already a super carrier, Valiant-class I think…or was it Punic-class…

Probably a super carrier at 5k length.

While Covie and UNSC ship class sizes haven’t always lined up 100%, I don’t think the Infinity is big enough to qualify as a Supercarrier. The LNoS was five Infinities long.

Those are somewhat Destroyer-esque, but I don’t believe they are Halberd’s. They sort of resemble the misshapen Strident’s from Halo 4’s campaign.

UNSC ships are obviously a lot smaller than most Covenant designs, but the UNSC still uses the Super Carrier classification. The Punic-class for example is a Super Carrier.

UNSC ships may be smaller, with the exception of the UNSC Infinity, however, even though the Infinity could be considered a super carrier, it may not be the best description, as the Infinity is the UNSC’s largest vessel. The term Mega Carrier sounds a bit cheesy. Ultra Carrier also sounds a bit odd.
I guess what you classify as a destroyer depends on the tech of the species. Human destroyers would get downgraded once humans built a lot of infinity-type ships. That would be an awesome sight!
This would be awesome!
It’s a funny one its designed to take on other capital ships. So it’s not a carrier but it has escorts and launches strident frigates, The wiki says it’s a experimental assault ship so assault carrier? maybe an ultra heavy destroyer?
