Imagine a covenant Assualt rifle core. Or a banished battle rifle. I just thought of how cool this could get

The core is more that its a skin. So you can have the CE AR instead of the infinite AR. Coatings can then be applied to each. I dont think we will be getting Cross faction skins given it really wouldnt make much sense.

Is it like changing the geometry of the model?

basically and or replacing the maodel completely. Functionally the weapon is the same. Aesthetically it is different

I hope weapon skins become pretty inspired. Having a really forerunner looking battle rifle, or UNSC themed pulse carbine would look really cool, and be something we have never seen at all, it could be really neat.
