And by airships I mean the culture and the phantom…I for one would love to use the vulture cause you got to use it in halo wars so why not put it in halo 5? That’s just my opinion…
The Vulture was the UNSC’s equivalent to the Covenant Scarab walker…

Idk about that cause I got wrecked when their scarabs were going against me

Only in terms of balance. In reality the Scarab is a walking excavation platform designed to burn through a planets crust and crush everything in its path.
The Vulture was an anti-Innie gunship not too dissimilar to the modern-day AC-130 (infact I think its official designation was the AC-270)

The Vulture is in fact part of the AC model line. It’s only a gunship meant for supporting ground infantry.
It would be nice seeing the UNSC equivalents of the Covenant’s air vehicles again.

Yeah it feels weird that they unveiled variants of the banshee and added the phaeton but left the unsc out of the air space in this. I would really love if they added the attack pelican back in from 4 as a mythic vehicle. that or the hornet or its upgrade the sparrow

You miss my point.
A drop ship (phantom) is one thing, but spawning in what is essentially the human area superiority vehicle is something else. Having players control Vultures is about as overkill as players controlling scarabs (I’m assuming multiplayer here). Even more so, as I think they need a crew of 6. Saying its “only a gunship” dosen’t really give how insanely shock and aw real life gunships are in their roles. Unless they water it down (like they did in Halo Wars for balance…) this thing would be insane canon wise.
More realist options would be:
- Something like a Sparrowhawk or Falcon (and a locus for that matter).
- Vulture available Single Player only as part of a level where all of your spartan squad are available, and the game is balanced around the level (Somewhat similar to the mammoth in halo 4, but interactive)
- Vulture used as part of a multiplayer game type where the point of the scenario is to take the/defend the vulture in a Few (Vulture team) vs Many (non Vulture team) variant. This would work with a scarab too for that matter.
- As part of a temporary care package like CoD (which is lame)My 2 cents.
wait isnt the phantom is firefight?

Yea it is but controlling one would be awesome
