UNSC Air Vehicles in Halo 4?

Will there be any UNSC air vehicles (i.e. the hornet & the falcon) in Halo 4? I know the Banshee is returning, but that is a covenant air vehicle.

Actually from what I know, the falcon is confirmed but the hornet is not. I may be behind on the news though. I’d love to have both the falcon and the hornet in one game.

Pelican and Phantom are confirmed, but not drivable, they’ll just be in the campaign and Spartan-Ops.

Also, welcome to Waypoint OP!

That’s what I thought.

Isn’t the Falcon an advanced model of the Hornet? Which is why we have a Hornet in Reach and a Falcon in Halo 3. Therefore we should be seeing a Falcon in Halo 4.

It’s the other way round. :slight_smile:

Hornet = Halo 3

Falcon = Reach

Here is the picture with the falcon in it (top middle). So far, I think there is no info for the Hornet being in Halo 4 though.

Ah, my bad.

You see what I’m getting at though, why would we have 2 modules (one being older) of the same vehicle in one game, it just doesn’t make sense.

I see where your getting at. The answer is: It’s Halo logic. I think the two air-vehicles are completely different. The Falcon is more of a transport and the Hornet is more of a sky fighter! Although, it was a shame that the Falcon could not transport players on the multiplayer. -_-

Then I’m mistaken. I assumed they were just different models.

In this case I could actually see them both being in Halo 4, the more vehicles the merrier i guess.

Well hopefully both of them do come back, with some improvements of course. For instance i hope the falcon can carry 5 people, 1 pilot 2 gunners and 2 passengers. And hopefully the hornet does come back with some stronger guns this time. And i would love if the pelican was pilotable but i doubt it will happen, besides the falcon is sort of a mini pelican.

They should add the UNSC Hawk from Halo Wars.

This.

Also - the more the better, I hope both return.

I believe the Falcon is confirmed, and hopefully the Hornet will be in the game too (perhaps even others!).

Hornet love …

No…

The Falcons and Hornets fill entirely different roles.

They don’t even have the same designation.

Are you serious? The Hornet was the most OP vehicle in Halo 3! Maybe the main chainguns should be turned up but the missiles need to be wayy nerfed. Much less damage and no lock-on. Banshee vs. Hornet always = Hornet. This needs to be changed.

OT: The Falcon is confirmed but the Hornet is not. Personally I’d like both as long as the Hornet is nerfed and the Falcon can carry 5.

A friend of mine mentioned that he’d like the following to happen regarding Air vehicles in Halo 4:

Falcon returns, as we know and has the following setup:
1 Pilot
1 Gunner (Left) OR Passenger
1 Gunner (Right) OR Passenger

Basically, the Falcon becomes a sky warthog, able transport three players at once, but keeping the balancing that Halo Reach has and not letting another player use a gun on the same side as a passenger. The Falcon should be a teamwork vehicle. One that can transport multiple players for objectives.

The Hornet, should it return, would get the following:
Buffed weapons
No passengers

This is to make so it can compete with the Banshee and not be an airborne triple kill, yet deliver enough of a punch to warrant a single operator.

What if we were wrong and the falcon in that pic were actually Hawks?

McFarelane confirmed that the Hornet is in Halo 4 by making a micro op Halo 4 edition.

THIS! Maybe as a Hornet replacement I mean it’s faster and more maneuverable which equals the perfect banshee counterpart.
