UNSC Aerial Vehicles... C'mon now...

So they’ve showed the blurred chart of all the new REQs coming to the WFF update… doesn’t look like a Falcon or Hornet is in there in any capacity… but a golden bloody Banshee is, because obviously we all requested that didn’t we? and what appears to be a bunch of emblems…
The game has been out for 8 months now, it’s getting pretty f*****g ridiculous that there’s no UNSC flying vehicles at all. All they’d have to do is port the Hornet from H2A much like how they ported the H2A BR, that way, everyone would be happy we’re at least getting one of the flying vehicles. But nope, nothing so far, zilch. Where the hell are they? pretty sure someone at 343 confirmed months ago that they were coming. Getting overly impatient with 343 as of late.

First of all, this statement is hilarious. If you think designing games and vehicles is this easy, than why don’t you just make your own version of Halo 5 that includes the Hornet? Just port it bruh!

Also, I don’t want a UNSC vehicle. The Phaeton is functionally a Hornet without side seats. So I don’t see what all the hullabaloo is about.

they didn’t just port over the h2 br fyi. they did not confirm that unsc aerial vehicles would be coming in halo 5, just that they’d come in a halo game. the loopholes are real…

Yeah, this whole mentality that every faction needs its own version of a weapon or vehicle that another faction has annoys me. Both of the air vehicles fill a particular role, and I just don’t see where something like a Hornet could fit in.

I’m sorry to disappoint you, but UNSC doesn’t include any DISNEY themed vehicles in the armory.

First: You realize the golden banshee is in because it’s easier to paint over something that exists in-game than to create something new mechanically altogether right?
Second: Thats not how it works and they didnt port the h2a br. It’s a new model with new mechanics that they were working on for awhile.

You people are aware that the Halo 2 BR in H5 is just the Halo 2A version right? it’s the same model, it plays the same, it sounds the same. It’s not incredibly hard from a design perspective to just take these models, sounds and animations, then just move them to another game. MCC and Halo 5 both run on the same engine so this would actually be quite easy. And if you don’t want a UNSC aerial vehicle then you’re seriously in the minority, browse around the forums, MOST want them in, that’s why they have been so heavily requested.

Yes I am aware, and that has nothing to do with it. However long it took, it’s still wasted time that they could have spent doing something else, like designing a new vehicle art wise.

It isn’t. in Halo 5, the H2BR sound is different, slightly more mechanical, and it is overall smaller and more… rigid. The mechanics do differ slightly, as well. It’s a very good recreation, but not completely the same.

Who was the idiot who said they are making the Banshee gold because it’s easier? because you don’t ‘paint’ over something you have to re texture it, this takes a lot of time for a professional to do, as well as all the other texturing methods needed for the game engine, it would in fact be easier to (and you are going to laugh) Port the Hornet. And control mapping? well the Phaeton has a control pattern they could just use for the Hornet. Before anyone tried to one up me, I study games design at university, I know what I’m talking about

You do realize it is a different engine right. There is no such thing as a ‘simple port.’

A different engine, to all you who think it is a different engine, look at the back of both cases, the Halo 5 case and the Halo MCC case, you see HAVOK? on the back that is the engine they are using for Halo, and funny thing, it’s on both cases

Alright, we can skip this thread, guys. Also, why is everyone wanting a UNSC air vehicle? There are already a ton of UNSC vehicles in this game. I want more covenant and forerunner vehicles.
