Even the social playlist in Halo 5 aren’t social. We played some rounds over the weekend on the “social” playlist and hit fireteams of Onyx repeatedly. lol

How do people not get that if it’s ranked the. You go against players of the same skill. If it’s social then onyx players can go against bronze. Stop complaining that you can’t mowe down every team in your path. Wins should be 50/50 and that’s what happens thanks to rankings
We do need a genuine lone wolves playlist other than FFA.
@ Dag - I’m trying to put a decent Gold/Plat team together for Arena…nothing too serious, just good comms, tactics and hopefully win more than we lose. Message me on XBL if you’re interested.
You would just be matched against better MLG players and get curve stomped, social is meant to be fun but losing to something like 50 - 10 doesn’t seem like fun. Social should be reserved for stuff like Firefight and Grifball not competitive modes.
I strongly disagree. There needs to be genuine social playlists that are based on a hidden rank to match players of similar skill level. If I want to play with real life friends that dont play much (because they hate how sweaty Halo5 is) and are low ranked players (Silver) then there aren’t any playlists that allow us to team up without getting stomped. If there was a social playlist that matched players/teams based on party size and average skill level then they’d play more and we’d be matched with similar teams…as its stands, I can’t play with lower level players at all because they would just get owned by higher level players and I’m not even that highly ranked myself.
OT - How can people say their shouldn’t be social playlists? How would people/teams train or practice if every game is ranked? what if they want to hang out with some mates and mess around but still with the core gameplay?

Exactly. A lot of ppl (including 343i) seem to have forgot that the core aspect of any game is enjoying yourself and having fun.
It’s not and doesn’t have to be all about winning and getting the best fireteam together in order to have the best ranks and stats as possible. If I want to kick back and play with my real life friends that are crap at the game in a Slayer player list without anyone getting stressed…I can’t. Our only option at the moment is to play customs which can be fun but you need at least 8 players for most games, where as a genuine social playlist would be the answer as it makes the game more versatile and would make the game more attractive to casual gamers.
Why haven’t they implemented it? Most likely because it would take players away from the Warzone cash cow with less ppl buying REQ packs…its all about the $$$.
Its not hard to make a social slayer and social objective playlist just like old days. Why they keep trying to push one game type in the social playlist is beyond me. Yay! You came out with a new gametype! Now lets mix it into a social playlist with other gametypes so you don’t get tired of it or just make one playlist dedicated to the new gametype along with a separate social playlist. Social stats and ranked stats should be separated as well.

We won 9 Fiesta games in a row on Sunday as we had a team of five, but the only reason we were in Fiesta was because we had five, which is too many for the ranked playlists. We weren’t being “sweaty,” but as a competitor, I don’t want to loose no matter what I am playing.
