Ok, I’m a Gold and guess what? I got teamed up with three players who aren’t even placed in a divison yet. Needles to say, we got slayed really bad. How is this even possible? People who haven’t qualified or placed yet shouldn’t be matched with people that high. I thought that was the point of this new system? This just looks like poor logic in the code the fact that this match managed to slip through.
Bronze should fight bronze and silver should fight silver. It’s only fair that way.
It has happened to me as well and I was playing with or against gold, platinum and diamond whe I was unranked. As far as I understood is while you’re being skill tested, you play against same skilled players, so you will be placed with Golds if you find gold players in your matches.
I’ve written about this same issue. And guess what, when ranks reset you’ll have it again and again. Most Halo players seem to team up, so it’s the solo player who gets to deal with mystery teammates every match. Another reason ranks don’t mean much

The rank doesn’t matter never has. It goes up and down on your performance.
In my 3rd game I creamed an Onyx on the elimination mode and was like yeah, rank still doesn’t matter.
I get what you guys are saying, but yes a Gold 1 can fight Gold 5. However, once that Gold hits Onyx, only then should he be able to play against Onyx players. You should only fight within your placement unless you rank out of it. Yea, it resets ever month, but that’s why we have seasons, which I’m assuming the system will use your old record as a basis during the reset.
