Is there any official support for mods then? Forge is the only possible thing they could monetize because everything else would be dangerous to distribute without sanctioned mod kits or strict API access. It sounds like you’re no longer talking about monetizing forge though. It’s difficult to seriously entertain this idea when we don’t even know if 343 has plans to support modding that fits this plan.

Amen Brother! I forge for fun. I refuse to charge “ANYBODY” for my mods or my maps. If people like my mods and or my maps they can have them for free. I never have charged people for my creations and I be damn if I am going to start now.
The satifafaction I get is when people use my creations on their server. That is gratatude enough for me. It’s a freaking game people not a business!
