I think a huge chunk of the community would beg to differ.
You won’t find that in a BR in Halo either when theres no true separate progression system, games like Apex at least allow that in some form from my own experience.
And I’ll never understand whiny, condescending children who want Halo to be exactly like every other shooter out there.
If you agree that there are other issues that need fixed with Infinite why would you even bring up a BR now?
Core portions of this game are broken now.
And as for fast paced…if a game, with a full lobby can end in 3 minutes, I’d say that’s pretty fast paced.
ok…see this is the thing…YOU were completely wrong on ALL of those.
ALL OF THEM MAN. COME ON MAN. SNAP OUT OF CRAZY. YOU WERE WRONG.
YET…
Instead of saying that and just admitting it and moving on…
you say…
So YES…I am a little ray of sunshine(TRUTH)
That is what honesty is…the truth…little rays of sunshine ahahahahaha
Now, this I can respect…
but you didn’t state this at first.
No offense…just tired of the madness
good day
I was opposed to battle royale at first but this game is so bereft of content or enjoyment I’m down for literally anything at this point.
I support the addition of a Battle Royale mode. My son (7 yrs old) is a big fan of Fortnite, but ever since we picked up Halo Infinite I always have a 2nd member in my fire team. I think that Battle Royale style is very appealing to a larger audience, especially those that didn’t grow up on Halo. In contrast, I could never get into Fortnite, and never kept up with the frequent COD releases. It would definitely mix up the different activities we would do when we log in to Halo Infinite (right now we do ranked, random playlists for challenges, fiesta, and custom matches for fun).
The more multiplayer content they put out for us, the better experience for the player, and a larger canvas for the developers to do more frequent things to keep it interesting week to week. I’d prefer something like that vs. another Playlist that I would likely only go after to get a weekly challenge done (where the rewards are currently lack luster for weekly challenge completion). I think if they included a BR mode, the live service that comes with it would open up the cosmetics quite a bit, which would likely address concerns alot of folks seem to have with customization (assuming everything isn’t trapped behind a paywall)
MCC wasn’t F2P… F2P games and paid games have very different trends.
There are still tons of people that have it downloaded on their harddrives, I just think the supposed decline is overhyped.
343 didnt have to make this game f2p. That was a bad decision to begin with
They did though. No paid game (especially a shooter) will ever be remotely relevant for more than a month when you have like 5 F2P games with hundreds of millions of players on them daily.
This isn’t 2007. Halo has far tougher competition then it used to.
No, i hope 343 never adds it
I brought up the BR topic because it’s something I thought would be cool to see in Infinite. My post was not about any of the many performance issues the game has, it was about the lack of incentive to play the game. They will fix melee desync, they will fix game crashes ect. but they can’t fix the fact that playing the campaign on legendary gives you no in game rewards, they can’t fix the fact that there’s no weapon skin reward system outside of just buying skins in the store. There’s just nothing to grind for in social multiplayer, so I’d rather have a BR where at least grinding for a win means something.
A BR won’t contribute to that unfortunately, not while Infinite’s overall systems are so lacklustre, it needs to be a universal tether that binds BR progression wise with other things, Apex for example (yeh thats the one I mainly go back to on occasion) has the main progression and the BP progression, both of which are impacted by its BR and arena mode. there is a competitive thrilling urge in both modes from what ive experienced, because there is a reason to play as good as possible to win.
Infinite’s systems need work before a BR can offer a reward incentive if it is to be implemented.
True, but I thought the nature of the game and audience it attracted still covered it.
The OP seemed to want a larger experience and myself as well.
It wouldn’t even have to be a “normal” battle royale. There aren’t any rules really as many think…I believe others like myself just want larger experiences with the proper mechanics that these shooters provide.
Then again, I thought Warzone was a great idea but just not best implementation with req cards.
The lore of the game just screams massive scale battles somewhere…why not Halo Infinite.
It would separate it well from the MCC experience.
Doesn’t have to have the same Ring moving even. Many ideas can be had but still represent why Battle Royale exploded the way it did.
BR doesn’t lend itself to Halo. First person to find a sniper and BR wins.
that’s the same with multiplayer though lol. power weapons have always given a huge edge in Halo
Well I would love to see a BR in the Halo franchise. I also spend like 2 hours figuring a gameplay out which I will share in an own topic as soon as the forums let me copy paste from word xD
I think a BR if done right with a fresh twist could grow the player base which would be great.
My opinion is that: the bigger the player base the more potential money the developer can make which leads the player base to new content.
I’m with you, I would play a Halo BR just because I think it would be fun, but at this point a BR is also probably the only way for Infinite to save itself from having a dying player base. The massive decline has been really sad to see especially since it’s happened so quickly
If that was true, Call of Duty wouldn’t work with a battle royale mode either, since you can find 1-hit sniper rifles, and a plethora of other powerful mid-range weapons.
However, that’s not true, because most battle royale maps are open, and the nature of a battle royale means that you will be in areas that are open, since the map gets smaller, and you have to move from place to place.
If there is a decline, I think it’s from other reasons.
No Forge, no Firefight, limited modes and playlists, limited customization, server issues and bugs.
I’m not ready for all their resources to be poured into a BR for the next 10 years, neglecting the core game they developed in the first place
I think they would have to hire a team of developers, that were in touch with the Battle Royal before. Otherwise I think the resources that would go into the BR would be wasted.
