Unplayable Warzone Firefight (player misbehaviour)

I’m really impressed from the fact that Warzone Firefight was launched since 3 years ago and still 343i can´t provide to the real Halo fans a proper and enjoyable Firefight Mode. In every match I and my brother are run over and see our vehicules destroyed by other Warhogs, Ghosts, Wraiths, Scorpions, etc drived by all these cancerous playes that all they wanted is obtain the highest score on the match. I’m truly disappointed and angry because we didn’t could enjoy a single match without have for concern more about our comrades than the enemies, this mode is even more competitive than the Warzone itself.
I really hope more people on our situation join us and support the motion for change this horrible mode and turning it enjoyable. Some recommendations for fix this mess:

-Categorize the vehicles in Heavy, Medium and Light and limit the first class at 2 units. Is insanely stupid see 4 tanks passing one over others for shooting in a corridor.
-6 Players for Legendary Firefight and 4 for Heroic, 8 is an excessive quantity in any case. This could increase player´s effectiveness and reduce the suicidal rush tendency.
-Doing the players vehicles completely invulnerable to comrade’s vehicles crash (with or without driver).
-Delete the score table from the mode, it’s unnecessary and cause rivalry between players. All that matters is complete de objectives, that is the idea of an cooperative game mode.
-Anyone that kills an allie intentionally, must be automatically expelled without any rewards and banned from matchmaking for 10 minutes like minimum (is obvious when someone kills other intentionally). Other chance is doing all players invulnerable to other players attacks.

Extra changes for general balance:
-Better respawn points for enemies. That the enemy respawn on the team’s base make no sense and produce unnecessary deaths.

I hope help to make Halo Firefight great again, if not I can´t trust in 343i for make a entire good game (Halo Infinite) if they didn´t want to fix a single game mode.

As some one who has played a ton of heroic warzone firefight I can tell you are exaggerating quite a bit. It can’t be every game and the only way vehicles can cause damage to other vehicles is by ramming them. So tanks and warthogs are really hard pressed to do much damage. Wraiths and ghost can boost so they can do some damage but it takes awhile. I found the best thing to do was to be conservative in vehicles and try not to antagonize or retaliate when they are trying to betray ( sometimes I would purposely let them kill me enough to boot them that is always sweet) Also try and let others have a path if you can in their vehicles.

Congrats, you have the prize for the conformist consumer of the year: “I would purposely let them kill me enough to boot them”. This considers 5 betrayals, 6 or maybe 8? Yesterday the same guy crush me 3 consecutive times with his wraith, without enemies near (i was running to the objective, because i rarely use a vehicle) and never i receive the option for expelled him.

And finally i don´t understand how fix the game and prevent stupids deaths is worst than let you die many times for have the option for expell the traitor. Your logic is awesome (no offense). Only with doing all players were invulnerable to other players attacks, the mode could be much better.

Well sorry for your bad luck with the game, perhaps your play style is causing it. But I very very rarely came across any one betraying me with vehicles. Also I am pretty sure after a player betrays you twice ( where they did 100 percent damage of the betray) you get the option to boot. It’s not near as many as you claim. Maybe if you modify your play style a bit you won’t be betrayed so often if it’s happening as often as you claim.

It certainly doesn’t hold a candle to reach or Odst’s Firefight modes that’s for sure.
it was essentially designed around the Req system which really explains to me why it is so unbalanced. But like all things I’m sure there is a devoted group that absolutely loves it.
As for toxic player behavior I haven’t found a game mode in any title without at least a few.

I have literally never experienced this in firefight. Sorry about your luck.

Only frustrating thing I’ve experienced is people not trying hard enough to beat mythic as in not pulling the necessary vehicles.

The FF need an update but I never experiment nothing like OP neither my company or friends and only splatter me by accident

I really enjoy this mode game

I miss Halo Reach’s FireFight mode. It was weapons and vehicles, not reqs. I get it…343 gets money from reqs but I hope they take this sort of thing away, they can make microtransactions but not reqs

I agree that WZF is nothing compared to Reach’s FF and is just a mode tacked on without too much thought put into it. But, what you’re describing is a match that happens rarely if at all. If this was your first WZF, give it another chance. Betrayers and generally useless players come about from time to time, but that’s true of any mode in Halo. You’ll probably find at least one useless player every match of BTB, whereas that doesn’t happen too often in WZF. Also, you are able to boot betrayers if they have two quick betrayals in succession.

Grifball anyone? Has the OP ever played Grifball?

Have you tried moving your left thumbstick or uninstalling the game?

That hardly happens in my experiences, but unfortunately they’re done with Warzone/Firefight updates so your ideas would be better suited for Infinite.

That makes me sad because Warzone Firefight could really use a refresh :frowning:

never had problems like op is describing, outside of the accidental splatter, and i have played like 1200 wz games. also, ‘conformist consumer of the year"? kind of a cheap shot at a guy who was trying to give you a tactful answer to what was probably a less than accurate description of the circumstances
also this game has been out for several years so so if things were as gamebreaking as you seem to think they are, then why the outrage so far into the twilight of the game’. the “i want to make FF better” agenda seems tenuous at best…

I get splattered once every 20 games maybe less.

Dont stand in the middle of the road?

Run on edges, between objects or on buildings.

I have to join the majority, as I haven’t experienced anything like this either. The only player I’ve seen run over was caused by me boosting in a Ghost, and being unable to stop in time. When I apologised to them after the match, they were fine with it, knowing it was purely an accident. Maybe just be more cautious when you know there’s vehicles around you.

Granted, it does look silly when a couple of Scorpions, a Wraith, and a Mantis are all trying to get inside the same place, but that’s just part of the fun. Surprise, surprise, some gamers are competitive.

Splatters can be mostly avoided with some situational awareness; the motion sensor gives you plenty of warning of approaching vehicles, allowing you to jump and boost out of the way.

I only play Warzone Firefight these days and the ‘cancerous’ players you describe are few and far between. There are more people refusing to use REQs than there are team-killers these days and if you do encounter a team-killer, pull up your dashboard after the game and block them. Problem solved.
