Hello, and welcome to the Halo OST discussion thread. Here you can discuss and post your Favorite Halo OST. Feel free to post and discuss any OST whether it is a remix or an original

Some of my favorite Halo OST’s:

Green and Blue - Halo 4
Arrival - Halo 4
The Prisoner - [Remix] Halo 3
Spirit of Fire - Halo Wars
Green and Blue - [Koan Sound Remix] Halo 4
Siege of Madrigal - Various Halo Titles

If would be appreciated if you can create a named hyperlink to the OST If you are unsure on how to post named hyperlinks you can fin it in the [Forum BB code Guide], Also all OST entries must be from a Halo Title [OST entries from other game titles will be reported/removed]

Exceptions:
Songs such as Blow me away by Breaking Benjamin given that they part of a soundtrack from any of the Halo titles

Well I just got the Halo 4 OST volume 2

So I’m still deciding over my favorite Halo 4 track('s)

But Halo 2 still holds as the Best Halo soundtrack IMO

Seriously, Halo 2 had the best soundtrack IMO, but Halo 3’s was pretty good. Also ODST’s nighttime music was pretty good.

Anyone else love Under Cover of the Night?

I loved ODST’s nighttime jazz café feel and Halo 2’s soundtrack was pretty awesome.

I couldn’t decide which one was my favourite out of halo 4 because they’re all so damn good. The music at the beginning of Dawn is also good but i can’t find it…is it on vol.2?

Yes i love that track. Probably one of the best O’Donnell ever did for Halo.

Here’s my favourites. Brace yourself, but I love the Halo OST.

Halo 2 rocked my pants off, but it also had a nice, calm side. Here’s my H2 fav’s.

H2: Reclaimer / H2: Unyielding
H2: Cairo Suite
H2: High Charity Suite
H2: The Last Spartan
H2: Delta Halo Suite

Halo 3 was so mellow. If I knew the main menu music, I would add it. I makes me feel so happy when I go on Halo 3, and it’s there. Playing. You have no idea :smiley:

H3: Follow our Brothers
H3: Farthest Outpost
H3: Behold a Pale Horse
H3: This is the hour

Not many from CE, either that or they have remakes in other OST’s and I can be bothered to find them. =3= Sorry.

Halo CEA: Bravery, Brothers / Halo CE: Brothers in arms

Ah, ODST. Such a nice soundtrack to roam the Mombasa streets on, don’t you agree? I should really listen to the OST more of this.

(These 3 are near same in some parts of the song)
1:ODST: Skyline
2: ODST: O.N.I
3: ODST: The Menagerie
ODST: Overture
ODST: Asphault and Ablution
ODST: Deference for Darkness
ODST: Finale
ODST: Neon Nights

Reach’s soundtrack was different. I can remember listening to it and saying “This isn’t a Halo soundtrack! It doesn’t resemble the others!” But it then evolved in me, and I then accepted it joyfully. There’s not too many favourites, but they’re still fav’s.

Reach: Tip of the Spear
Reach: Fortress

Now, Halo Wars soundtrack really added to the game. The tinkle of the sounds in it, it added to the realism. Again, not to many fav’s, the songs are hard to navigate my fav’s:

Wars: Freaked out
Wars: Insignificantia

Ah, Legends. There’s many favourites, but my most favourite was this:

Legends: Sacred Icon 2
You may have heard this song from THIS

Halo 4’s soundtrack also took me by surprise. That it was so small (Curse 343i for attempting to get money with second sountrack) but the songs were so intense. Well done composers!

H4: To Galaxy
H4: 117
H4: Revival

Now this person you have have not heard of. He’s made some epic fan Halo soundtracks. Here they are:
Mothergoat: The Prisoner
Mothergoat: Fury to Fire
Mothergoat: When the world ends

His last one is this: Mothergoat: Hail 117 Anthem. I found this in the credits of a funny Halo animation

This took me… 45 minutes, to find the songs, then to find the youtube links, then add them. So… yeah. FOR HALO SOUNDTRACKS EVERYWHERE =W=

I’m not a big fan of electric guitar, so mothergoat isn’t exactly my type. Still, pretty impressive nonetheless. I like the opening suite from CE though, only because its consistent throughout every major Halo game.
