Pretty much a yes or no, and maybe a reason why you would like to have it back or not have it back.
Me personally would love to have it back in Multi and BTB.
BTB map movement would be better with a locomotive third option along with the already Sprint and Jetpack.
Multi, who doesn’t love a bunch of people evading all over the map in a chaotic killing fest in Multi?
It was fun jumping right after an evade to get extra distance. Should be put back into team objective.
Evade doesn’t work with Spartans, it never has and never will.
Petitions are also against the rules.

I saw Spartans using it just fine, so how do you figure? And there, it’s not a petition, more of a request now

For those extra long jumps or covering long distances.

Actually, Evade worked quite well in competitive gametypes, hence why it’s still in MLG v8 settings. It allows the player to quickly move the distance that Sprint would allow in virtually half the time, not to mention it’s an excellent tool for avoiding grenades.
In larger gametypes, such as Invasion and BTB, it was a valuable asset to keep the game moving. and it was a great way to cross maps quickly when a vehicle wasn’t nearby.

I agree completely
evading was cool for long jumps >.<
Evade for it’s purposes and tricks were quite good, but it had a terrible hitbox when in action and if you get shot in evade you hardly even move, negating it’s effect in combat.
If 343i fixed things like these in the TU instead of just toying with bloom and fixing Co-op for people without an HDD…this game would be lots better.

Perfectly stated friend.

I never noticed getting shot while evading slowing it down. But I do agree with the hitbox situation.
Perhaps it was if you were shot right before or in the action. One of the two made you evade about two inches.
> Perhaps it was if you were shot right before or in the action. One of the two made you evade about two inches.
OK yeah, now I know what you mean. Getting shot while evading decreased the distance of your evade.

first of all mlg is only on v7. second of all its not in mlg anymore. third of all, when mlg had it in their settings it was strictly a pickup. im all for having evade in mm as long as its a pickup. this is how all armor abilities should be but thats another story.
> It allows the player to quickly move the distance that Sprint would allow in virtually half the time, not to mention it’s an excellent tool for avoiding grenades.
how is this good in any way? when a player throws a perfect grenade you shouldnt have the ability to herp derp stand on top of it then get a second chance of life w/ evade. this follows the same principle as armor lock. im guessing since ur a casual you probably think armor lock is fine.
> In larger gametypes, such as Invasion and BTB, it was a valuable asset to keep the game moving. and it was a great way to cross maps quickly when a vehicle wasn’t nearby.
sprint will definitely transport you fast enough across the map. if you can evade across the map then that defeats the purpose of transporting w/ vehicles.
im glad 343 knew what they were doing when trying to fix reach. its a shame they are -Yoinking!- up with halo 4 though.
No, Spartan evade is more broken than armor lock or active camo ever was. The fact that you can evade in any direction at any given time not once but twice, while skewing your hitbox and not your view cam seems overpowered to me.
Jetpack, evade, and drop shield are the only three AAs that shouldn’t be in matchmaking. Although they could work as map pickups.
> It was fun jumping right after an evade to get extra distance. Should be put back into team objective.
Agreed on both points. Also, Evade was a REALLY good counter to Jetpackers and Vehicles in BTB.
