My honest opinion, 343 nerfing the ONI Warthog had to be one of the stupidest things they ever did. Thats what made the ONI Warthog special and what made it stand out. It was the reason anyone ever pulled out a Warthog(aside from maybe the Gauss and Rocket versions). If you’re gonna nerf the ONI Warthog so it overheats, you might as well nerf the Ghost Ultra too since it has explosive plasma rounds and it doesn’t overheat.
I made a similar topic before but it never got anyb replies so this time I thought I’d remake it and even make it into a poll. So what do you think?
I agree. I liked how it didn’t overheat, it made people actually use hogs in a Warzone game.

It was an idiotic change. There was no need to nerf it. If you’re gonna nerf the ONI Warthog, then you might as well nerf the Ghost Ultra too since it has infinite rounds.

The oni hog is level 3. The ghost ultra is level 4. Even if you are right about the damage being the same, at level four you have access to railgun, fuel rods, etc that you don’t at level 3. The change prevented it from being abused as much early on. It was a good change in my opinion.

If that’s the case, then 343 should’ve at least upped the Req Level instead of nerfing it completely.
If they insist on keeping the overheat function they should reduce the build-up, because currently it overheats too quickly.
