unnecessary but cool teamwork things

as the title says, these things are unnecessary but would be cool to have. i feel a lot of the vehicle teamwork things are gone or were never there, and from a sand box perspective i feel they would be fun to have. these are basically all vehicle based and not for small competitive types.

i would like to see a return of sitting on the side of a scorpion. now there are ALOT of reasons why this is a bad idea, namely in a fast paced fight you wouldnt want to end up on the side of a scorpion rather than in it, and having a scorpion with a driver, a turreteer and 4 guys with power weapons on the side could be… a little overpowered. that said, it would be fun to have that mechanic and sometimes (especially in reach) i would have rather sat on the side with a grenade launcher than in the turret. and halo is all about powerweapons, so i say if you have a tank with heavily armed spartans on the side, then fair enough, you collectively found teh weapons and managed to get to the tank with them as a team, you deservethem boost, and its not like theyre invincible either, 2 splazer shots and theyre done. perhaps a transport scorpion could be implemented without a machine gun turret, similar to the transport hornet from halo 3.

also, should the falcon be reintroduced, i would love to see those seats able to be used! if you remember, in reach during the falcon mission, you could actually sit in these seats and it was so awesome being flown around in first person.

finally, although a lot of people hated them, i would like to see a GOOD vehicle similar to the prowler or spectre. if they were made correctly, they could be a fun vehicle. and if not, having it in the game for custom games never hurts. possibly also the long coveted transport warthog

any other ideas or suggestioons, or even things telling me why these ideas are stupid, please say below! i know there are reasons they wouldnt work, but i was too lazy to type them out

I like most of the ideas. Not too sure about the Falcon seats though, because if you think about it, the 3 standard seats it has now plus 2 more would make it a flying killtacular just waiting to happen. I suppose it’s even worse for a Scorpion, but at least the tank has more firepower, and the passengers can actually defend themselves instead of just uselessly sitting there and waiting for something to happen.

I loved the Spectre from Halo 2. The Prowler was ok, but it basically took all the unique features of the Spectre out and turned it into a less useful Brute vehicle. The covenant should have at least one true team-based vehicle, and the Spectre fits that role perfectly.

How is an easy Killtrocity OP?
All you need to do to kill the inhabitants of a vehicle is destroy the vehicle (for the sake of argument and sanity we pretend Survivor never exist and should never be implanted again) and considering 6/8 of the enemy team is stuck on a vehicle that moves only slightly faster then a snail, are stuck looking in only a 90 degree view and are fully exposed to any incoming bullets with no protection and are fully dependent on the the tank to avoid incoming shots I see this in no way OP (4 guys running around with power weapons covering a Tank that has a gunner however…).

Which is exactly why I don’t get anyone in their right mind would want to do it.

> perhaps a transport scorpion could be implemented without a machine gun turret, similar to the transport hornet from halo 3.

The transport Hornet also had its best offensive taken away (the rockets) and its turret reduced in firepower, but still remains airborn (chances of tipping over because of a rock are non existent compared to the mongoose, still equal chances to hit a tree) and very fast/agile, a slow moving transport vehicle that offers no protection to the transporté seems a bit… useless…
Aside from that a tank is a massive target, even if it were fast it remains an easy target and pale in comparison to say a fast, small transport vehicles (with the possible addition of guns to it)

> also, should the falcon be reintroduced, i would love to see those seats able to be used! if you remember, in reach during the falcon mission, you could actually sit in these seats and it was so awesome being flown around in first person.

In campaign I see the use of it (LOOK AT THE SCENERY, LOOK AT IT O.O) but in MP it is once again nothing but an easy multikill, aside from that I already said why a flying transport for objective craft is OP (remember airborn, barely any obstacles, grenades would have to stick you while on the ground they can be thrown in front of you to knock you of course).

I honestly want the revenant back but minus its ridiculous increased aim assist to people in the side seat. The Revenant felt way more unique to the Prowler or Spectre.

I don’t see why a vehicle should have more then 1 passenger seat (from a practical point of view), even with Stockpile the flags were so spread out you might as well take different vehicles because all you are doing is making yourself more of a target as you pick up each flag and give the enemy team more time to just blow you up, if you have 4 flags then 4 Mongooses would get those flags a lot faster (and each flag a lot more chance to be taken) then using 1 transport vehicle with 4 passengers that is also an easy target.

Oh now I just feel abused.

Being able to use the extra seats on the falcon and the scorpion would be great for machinimas. Also, Transport hogs (which would be good for forge and customs as well)!

If we go into what is great for Machinimas then I can think of a lot of things (besides I found it hilarious how RVB made use of 1 tank to transport them into the freelance base in I believe Season 8, some clever writing can do miracles) but Machinima is not the game’s focus nor are there many left (at least good ones, aside from RVB, not a single one comes to mind and they use CGI) with Halo 4 and I rather see creative use of tools made for the standard gameplay as opposite to handing a bunch of tools and see an increase in mediocre Machinimas, I already hate the amount of mediocre clan videos and how in Reach nearly every one of them had about 3 falcons per video.

Scorpion with multiple vulnerable passengers is a sitting duck. I have proposed the Reach Campaign passenger falcon as is, but these vehicles that can house 3 or more passengers should be armored. They should look stronger and have much better vehicle health. Also, these vehicles should have weak points that will drastically slow them down or propel out of control, like continuously shooting the rotor of a passenger falcon. People will not be given easy multikills unless they land two direct hits from a rocket or laser.

Given that these transport vehicles are defenseless compared to a hornet or turret hog, they should be armored. I’d really like the Troop transport hog to return as an armored variant as well
