Idk if other people have already figured this out, but the pilot says something to Chief as he’s looking at the remains of Zeta Halo.
The start is: “We lost. We lost everything. There’s nothing left for us here.”
Then there’s a small line right after that is barely audible.
Any ideas what he said? I think it sounds like “Unsure where here is”, but we know it’s Zeta Halo, so I’m not sure if that would make sense for him to say.
I’ve always heard it as “unsure where here is” so it’s probably that…
I’ve heard some say “where ever here is” and “i don’t even know where here is”
luckily we all agree on the “… here is”

It’s shown briefly in a shot of the Pelican’s console that a message reads: “Local Ref Zeta”, which I take to mean that this is Zeta Halo that we are looking at in the trailer

lol yeah idk if the line really means anything important and we just aren’t hearing it right, but it has me wondering either way.
When you reduce the music it sounds like he is saying “Hunting for Years”
Actually, to me it sounds like he’s saying “hunting for URIs.” Although, the pilot pronounces it as though it were a full word; “You-Are-Ease.” Now, a URI does exist in our modern military as an acronym for a number of positions, however my guess is that it holds special meaning in the UNSC.

In that case, the voice actor needs to work on his annunciation and they need to rerecord that line. The syllables don’t even match up.

He does sort of mumble it under his breath.
