Is the Venator Raptor skin unlockable? Does it come from the Spartan Ops Backstab Mastery? If it is not unlockable currently, will it be unlockable in the future?
Many people are saying that all armors are eventually unlockable, if this is true, what is the method of unlocking this armor? Does the backstab achievement (spartan ops, not war games) unlock the normal version of this armor?
There is a TON of misinformation floating around, and a moderator response to this question would be amazing to help clear them up.
If anyone could post saying that the have MAXED 5/5 (plus filling the last rank)
of BACKSTAB (spartan ops only) and received either armor, it would be appreciated.
Im pretty positive the Raptor variant is only available by preordering from Best Buy and i think some other store but I’m not for sure. The default variant is unlocked from an assassination commendation if I remember right. Someone correct me if I’m wrong but i think this is right.
i wasted my time completing backstab only to conclude that i didn’t get the venator armor skin. it seems that i have to get the original venator armor first. but yea, you don’t get the venator armor skin until you complete/master the player assasination thing. i felt cheated because i was sure i would get the armor through that route.

i bought the collectors book guide and it shows you that you can unlock a different venator skin if you assassinate a good amount of covies and prometheans.

SO you can confirm that you DO get the skin for completing backstab, but ONLY after you get the normal armor skin.

that would be my best guess because i DID complete backstab legitimantely and i did not recieve it nor saw it in my armor list as either locked or unlocked. so as speculation goes, i must master the assassin commendation first.

that’s very possible, but maybe it’ll be available later on during the next update.

if that’s really the case, then i’m going to have a chat with whoever published the halo 4 gaming guide. i wasted enough time trying to assassinate those covies and prometheans for nothing when it clearly states that i will be rewarded the venator armor skin. unless it’s just another glitch that needs patching.
