Unlocking Everything (323 Hours Best Case)

Compiling my research and the stats of the Requisition System, I have discovered a best case scenario of how long it will take to unlock everything, and a more realistic number for the average player.

In a best case scenario where you use the Bronze->Silver->Gold method, anything available through promotional means (i.e. pre-orders, MCC legendary completeion, etc.) is unlocked via those means, every bronze pack yields a permanent REQ, and that you sell every single-use REQ, you would spend…

322 hours and 32 minutes in WarzoneIn a more common scenario where you use the silver->Gold method, sell about 50% off the single-use REQs you get, and you achieved nothing through promotional means, you would spend…

575 hours in both Warzone and ArenaNow, given this information, I want you to think about this; the item you want most in the entire REQ system might be the last thing you ever get. That means about 575 hours of grinding for it. Constant grinding for that one item.
Then Billy-Bob-Joe buys Halo 5 and gets it in his first REQ pack.

I don’t know about you, but that sounds awful to me.

Anyways, the point of this thread is to shed some statistics on the REQ System, and get people talking about it. Get some opinions circling around on whetehr or not this is fair, or unfair, if it’s too long, too short, etc. I figured now would be a good time since Hammer Storm just came out.

For thosing wanting the source of my information, check out this other thread.

Disclaimer: This research is based off my personal research, and does not factor in boosts. Considering my skill is only slightly above average, and I use boosts only 50% of the time, I try to play a fairly even split of every gamemode, and the amount of information I already do take into consideration, these deviations are acceptable. TL;DR Be happy you get this much research.

Hmmm that’s quite interesting. Id rather just grind for Achilles and call it a day

Its 100% fair because none of us need any of these things. But I’m just being a grumpy adult

your math doesnt take into account the boosts

strictly F2P
i have less a little over half the playtime you quoted and unlocked everything except the new update stuff

That’s not too bad

About 13 days

If you play if you play 3-4 hours a day you’ll be there in about 13 weeks

But over those 13 weeks a lot more will also be added

So better step your game up to 6-8 hours a day

10 hours for work 6-8 for Halo 6-8 hours for sleep repeat

Actually, if you go to your profile player, you’ve played a total of 13 days 15 hours and 54 minutes worth of Halo 5. Which equals exactly 327 hours and 54 minutes. So apparently you were pretty close to the best case scenario. Lucky you.

Also, as an added disclaimer, my research is based off of my matches, and did not exclude matches with or without boosts. I realize this is a flaw, but with the amount that is already taken into consideration, I find this as an acceptable deviation, as most people will either always use boosts, or never use boosts, allowing me to be the median in between the two different methods of play. And while it’s based off my game performance, I am only a slightly above in skill than the average player, making me a suitable research candidate.

Not true. I really don’t care for it. And if I did, it would only to joke around and yell “This! Is! Sparta!

Didn’t angry joe say the same thing?

Angry Joe did something like this at Halo 5’s launch, and he didn’t factor in many different things.
This is all as of the recent update, Hammer Storm, and factors in things such as items available through promotional means, items locked behind commendations and level up packs, how much REQ you earn in each type of gamemode, selling single-use REQs, methods of purchasing REQ packs, etc.

I’m curios OP, do you count the Warzone and Arena Req. Packs that come out weekly upon buying?

as do I. I’m 6 gold packs away from unlocking it all though Then I can take a break from this game lol.

No. The times I gave above assume you don’t spend a cent on buying the Gold or Silver packs with real money, nor using Warzone or Arena REQ Bundles.

I find it hard to believe you’ve unlocked nearly every REQ that quickly without spending real cash somewhere. If so, you exploited something.
