You can do either. You just need to unlock the Legend achievement.
And in all honesty, you technically don’t even have to do that. You can get all versions of the Helioskrill Armor via REQ Packs. That’s how I managed to get them. Unless they changed it…I haven’t played in about a year.

You don’t HAVE too, as pointed out you can unlock them simply by getting the req packs. I didn’t beat any of the campaigns on MCC and I have all the armors unlocked.

I’m aware. I was only correcting OP’s statement in case he/she was attempting to unlock the armor set without packs. Blodgharm already made the pack suggestion in the post before mine.
You just need to beat ce 2 3 and 4. And I believe only a variant is available in the req packs. Not 100% on that one

Correct on needing to beat the games in your post. All Helio, including the MCC one are available in Req packs.

Still play odst though, it’s a good halo game.
The easiest way to unlock it is just by opening REQ packs, as with all other armors in the game
Sadly, you just need to unlock REQ packs to get it. I am more than willing to help where I can in lending a helping hand for a legendary playthrough.

Pretty sure it doesn’t matter if you do it in Co op or solo as long as you unlock the legend achievement in MCC. I will say it seemed to be extra buggy for those who mixed and matched missions between Co op and solo. It’s best to do it all solo or all co op it seems. Also make sure to never skip a cut scene ever as that seems to cause levels not to register as complete against the servers.
So out of curiousity. I just got the legend achievement. Been grinding the last of halo 4 for 5 hours straight. Super exhausted. And I looked on halo 5 and I didnt get the armor. Kinda bs if you ask me. I even have the legend achievement
Could I use non scoring skulls?
I gotta say, after spending solid hours lately completing CEA and 2A on legendary, it sucks to not have an exclusive armor piece to show it.
Do i have to play chronologicly in order or just as long as i complete all the campaigns?
